No sure how accurate this is because depending on where in New Mexico you are water can and is often a BIG problem.

I live about a half mile from the Chama river, and I drilled my well during a prolonged dry spell, making sure it went 15 additional feet after hitting water. So far it hasn’t gone dry, but I keep my fingers crossed. Water shouldn’t be a problem during the coming dystopia.
