The administration criticized Saudi Arabias denial of a visa for a Jewish White House correspondent wanting to cover President Obamas visit to the kingdom on Friday, but when asked Tuesday whether it would reconsider going to Saudi Arabia or anything like that, Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes said no.
Michael Wilner, a U.S. citizen who covers the White House for the Jerusalem Post, applied for a visa with other members of the White House press corps but was turned down on Monday. [ ]
That didnt cause you guys to reconsider going to Saudi Arabia or anything like that? a reporter asked.
No, Rhodes replied. Look, we have disagreements with Saudi Arabia on a number of issues. We obviously have had disagreements in the past as it relates to some issues associated with Israel, some issues associated with human rights. But we also share a significant set of interests with Saudi Arabia. Theyre a very important partner of ours in the Gulf, and we believe its better to have the type of relationship where we can cooperate but also be clear and honest with one another where we have differences.

Look, we have disagreements with Saudi Arabia on a number of issues, but this President will never bow down to foreign potentates...
The Saudis knew Obama didn’t have the spine (or interest) to condemn the denial.
These are the Muslims saying Israel is the apartheid state!
They fund the BDS groups against Israel too.
Guess the Obama media are ok with anti-semitism against their own.
“........this President will never bow down to foreign potentates”....
EXCUSE ME? Did I read that correctly? Odumbo is the “child” of the Saudi’s and he (odumbo) would kiss their very feet if possible.
We too are denying Israelis visas to come here.

What would have happened if Russia denied visas to homosexuals/pedophiles going to watch the Olympics? Obama and the White House would have gone nuts.
Of course he’ll still go. He has to report in every so often.
Mac, the pu***, daddy needs to go it’s his turn in the barrel to be followed by visits to the bath houses.

Given the fact that the Saudis do quietly allow an occasional Jew, even an occasional Israeli, into the country when it in their interest, I'd speculate the intent might be to let our President know just how unimportant he is, through a slap that will be understood in the region. Hope no one throws a shoe.
Christians did the same Kabuki dance when they there.

What about Chuck Todd of NBC/MSNBC who is traveling with him now? He’s Jewish.
He doesn’t work for the Jerusalem Post though. And he’s a Reform Jew that works for MSDNC.
Or giving him an opportunity to demonstrate how unimportant Jews are in his administration. Shut up and contribute, and be tolerated, so long as you think creatively to help me, and don’t mind being dogged.
