That would certainly make sense. Otoh an experienced pilot might be able to manipulate things and lead him into that’s the way its done son compliance. Few days ago someone pointed out the cultural attribute that would make that scenario possible too.

True, but that secret cargo may still be in the hold of the aircraft which some suspect is floating in that debris field (that 73 ft. piece they’ve described) but of which we still haven’t seen a close-up photo only the fuzzy satellite pix.
They certainly seem to want there to be no survivors. Remember the orange rectangle next to the floating cycle a few days back? Fox even showed the green circle where the tail fits that would have been the same size and there were several who said the rectangle size was consistent with a life raft plane dropped a GPS and flares then silence.
Possible, although I read that anything like that would have been noticed by the Chinese or would have appeared on some satellite somewhere. Of course, I’ve read so many things by now - that who knows?
Or better at unknown Diego Garcia AFB down in the Indian Ocean!!!
What I figured was that they are a poorer country and can't afford teleprompters to say the 'right' thing.
