London (AFP) - A former wife of Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah appealed to US President Barack Obama on Thursday for help in the case of four daughters she says are being held in a royal palace.

Alanoud AlFayez, 57, a Jordanian national who has lived in London since her divorce from the Saudi monarch in 2003, said her children needed to be "saved".

"Since 13 years, my daughters Sahar, Maha, Hala and Jawaher are being held captive," AlFayez told AFP. "They need to be saved and released immediately."

She added: "Mr Obama should take this opportunity to address these grave violations committed against my daughters."

AlFayez, who married the Saudi king when she was only 15, said her daughters had recently had their twice-monthly trips to buy food, water and medicine for themselves and their pets stopped.

...

Dozens members of the US Congress have urged Obama to bring up the prickly subject of rights in Saudi Arabia, including efforts by women activists to challenge the country's ban on female drivers, despite recent tensions over Washington's .. reluctance to engage more forcefully in Syria.

Bammy has nothing to do with freedom.

We'd like to restore some of our own freedoms being taken by the usurper and his minions.

Alanoud AlFayez, 57, the Jordanian national, is REALLY going to get far with these tactics.
She was 15 years old when she married the King of Saudi Arabia. HER PARENTS sold her down the river--the rest followed the natural and obvious trend.

The king has four legal wives, as is permitted in Muslim law, but I'm fairly sure that he has a myriad of concubines. Wealthy families there probably VIE for the opportunity to have their sons and daughters SOMEWHERE near the royal family.

The KING, by the way, personally owns all the petroleum and natural gas in the KSA. That keeps all the wealthy and prominent families from all FIGHTING over it. Good solution to the problem.

Also, the King HAS to be generous with everyone there. If he's a bad boy, for any reason, the population will NOT assassinate him--his OWN BROTHERS and other MALE RELATIVES will.

Their system of government may not be our cup of tea but it has worked for them for quite a while.

Obama wouldn't know shariah law if it kicked him in the shins.
President Dopey, right out of the seven dwarfs.

Obama is due to meet King Abdullah on what will be his second visit to Washington's decades-old ally Riyadh since taking office in 2009.

This is a golden opportunity for Obama to show the world how much his bowing has improved. He can practically kiss the ground! King Abdullah will be delighted to see it.

As for the captive princesses, unless there is a "Republican War on Women" angle here, Obama will pass.

Does the great leader of the free world ruffle the feathers of the Saudi king before or after he bows to him? That’s a tough one.

Sheesh, America should know how many children are in Saudi that are born of American women who were foolish enough to marry Saudis.

When she was five, the family moved to London for one year, later moving to Chicago in 1963. In 1966, her mother was one of four child advocates that created the Erikson Institute. The Institute was established to provide collective knowledge in child development for teachers and other professionals working with young children.

Sheesh, America should know how many children are in Saudi that are born of American women who were foolish enough to marry Saudis.

Both embassies (American and Saudi) KNOW exactly how many children are in Saudi born of American fools morons women who were foolish enough to marry Saudis. They find out FAST that they don't simply marry the Saudi man but they marry into his ENTIRE family, run by the Saudi matriarchs. Those matriarchs decide who marries whom, where and when. The American fools morons women and their Saudi husbands LIVE with the family of HIS "umm" (mother)

Those fools morons women and their Saudis husbands usually end up in divorce court. The Saudi culture is JUST TOO DIFFERENT. It may seem cool and different at the beginning, but it gets OLD real fast.
The children belong to the women's family until they are nine--then they belong to the father's family. That is Saudi tradition.

Those fools morons women KNOW all this before they marry Saudis. And they STILL marry'em. Go figure.

=================================

I thought, when my husband and I went there for work, HUSBAND'S work, that the Arab men would look SOMETHING like OMAR SHARIFF from Laurence of Arabia.
Hahahahahahahahahaha! A baboon...well, never mind, no need for me to get ANY nastier.
