The political action committee America Rising took that concept and applied it to an attack ad on Iowa Democrat Rep. Bruce Braley whose remarks earlier this week before a group of trial lawyers in Texas about Iowa farmers hit a nerve:
If you help me win this race you may have someone with your background, your experience, your voice, someone whos been literally fighting tort reform for thirty years, in a visible or public way, on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Or, you might have a farmer from Iowa who never went to law school, never practiced law, serving as the next chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee."
America Rising created a video based on that Paul Harvey farmer tribute, "God Made a Trial Lawyer":

In another add he mispelled detasseling and baling. Not a good idea to insult farmers in iowa.
Brilliant!! Wish I had thought this up.
Probably the only tassel Braley ever heard of was on a Bourbon Street stripper.
Count me as liking a snappy lead line in an editorial...
“The editor calls Braley a ...condescending, elitist turd.
Haha. That’s awesome!
Shouldn’t that read “So Satan made a trial lawyer”?
Hey, what does the guy who finished last in his class at law school do when he graduates?
Braley's job.
not bad, but it could have been a lot more brutal. At least our side is fighting, even if still pulling some punches.
In another post, he misspelled “ad”.

Captain James T. Kirk grew up on a farm. So there!
“The man who wants to represent all Iowans as its next U.S. Senator, Democrat Bruce Braley, has just proven himself to be a condescending, elitist turd. It was no coincidence at all that a YouTube video of Braley milking money from big-money Texas trial lawyers appeared on Ag Day, Tuesday, March 25.”

A link to Paul Harvey's original .... So God Made A Farmer ... is very appropriate for the thread.
Not good to insult farmers anywhere.
If you can get hold of it read THE LAST FARMER
Good history of farming in Midwest from one who left the farm became editor of Rolling Stone and eventually regained faith and roots
I’ve loaned a dozen copies and never get them back cause the reader shares them
Anyone with agriculture in their roots should read it
Author Howard Cohn ( not sure if that’s the correct last name or spelling)
Grammer nazis must die!
With a K not C
Looks like they finally have it back in print. I buy several used for same price and then share with farm families
