In remarks to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) vowed to fight for amnesty as long as he is a breathing United States Senator.
McCain, according to BuzzFeed, also said that if comprehensive immigration reform passes, he would "make sure it is forever called the Edward M. Kennedy immigration bill." McCain and the late Kennedy tried to pass the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill last decade, along with President George W. Bush. Conservatives halted the measure because it would have reduced the wages of American workers while not solving the illegal immigration problem.
The high-tech lobby, the Chamber of Commerce, and the same groups that wanted amnesty then are redoubling their efforts this year, which amnesty advocates like Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) have said may be the last chance for such legislation.
McCain's former immigration aide, Becky Tallent, is now House Speaker John Boehner's (R-OH) top aide on immigration. Boehner has said that he and President Barack Obama want to get immigration reform legislation "done" this year.
Other speakers throughout the week at Hispanic Chamber of Commerce events included Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), who said that amnesty legislation was inevitable, and Vice President Joe Biden, who stated that he believed illegal immigrants were "already American citizens."
Last year, McCain vowed that amnesty advocates would try to get comprehensive immigration reform through Congress after the GOP primaries in 2014. That window seems to be somewhere in the next three months. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that if amnesty legislation passes this year, it would pass by June.

We tried last election. Too many illeagals. That and we have been Californicated.
Whatever the taste, I’m sure we would learn to love it...savor it even...
With Republicans like these, who needs Democrats?
I sure would :-)
FRAUD!!!
Be careful in what you wish for.
...which only leaves the rest of us to long for the time when he’s not...
“I guess I have another new prayer.”
You (and I) should have been praying that he’d never leave the Hanoi Hilton, but we didn’t know at the time what we should be praying for. He was a crappy pilot who lost four aircraft. His daddy Admiral kept him in the Navy, when he should have been washed out long before he got shot down. Sorry he suffered in captivity, but he’s paid us all back for twenty-five years “serving us” in the Senate.
The RINO traitors are identifying themselves.
We’re making a list
And checking it twice
Gonna find out Who’s naughty and nice
That will happen as soon as the Republicans number 51 in the Senate....he’ll throw us all under the bus one more time..
Quick put the mirror under his nose there is some question as to whether he lives!
McCain’s immigration policy is no different from the open borders policies of George H.W. Bush or his son George W. Bush. Bob Dole would have been the same if he had been elected in 1996. Both Bush’s deliberately failed to control the border. George W. wanted a pathway to citizenship for the illegals. Romney would have been the same.
Face it, the elites benefit from cheap labor. Housekeepers, gardeners, nannies, kitchen help at home and the club. Cheap labor to keep the middle class from pushing for higher wages (like in the old America where standards of living did rise).
The Republican Party, is pro amnesty. McCain is just a loud mouthpiece for the policy most of the rest of the party pols support.
“Please die.
Then he can join Teddy in Hell.”
sooner rather than later. not Christian but i don’t care anymore.
He's too liberal and too stupid! Which I suppose, makes him just right to be a senior Republican!
Seriously wish this guy would quit breathing then.
