Never mind that science has confirmed for some time that human life begins at conception and the union of sperm and egg creates a unique human being with a DNA code that matches no one else ever conceived.
Nancy Pelosi believes pro-life advocates who think human life starts at conception are just “dumb.”
At Planned Parenthood’s annual gala last night, attendees and your PULSEr stopped laughing at comedian and emcee Tig Notaro just long enough to watch Nancy Pelosi receive the Margaret Sanger award for her work defending abortion rights. In her acceptance speech, Pelosi slammed abortion opponents, especially criticized the “personhood” laws some of them are pushing and said the struggle for reproductive rights will continue whatever SCOTUS decides on the contraception mandate.
–”When you see how closed their minds are or oblivious or whatever it is — dumb — then you know what the fight is about,” Pelosi said. “Whatever happens with the court…we must remember these battles will not be the end of the fight,” she added. Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg was also awarded.

Last night, Nancy Pelosi accepted Planned Parenthood’s highest honor – the Margaret Sanger Award – at their annual gala. Now, that’s enough to make most people’s blood boil.
Sanger – the founder of Planned Parenthood – was a racist eugenicist who called African Americans, immigrants and the poor “human weeds,” “reckless breeders,” “spawning… human beings who never should have been born.”
But wait until you read this – Politico is reporting that, in accepting the award, Pelosi called pro-lifers “dumb,” “closed-minded,” and “oblivious.” I don’t know how you feel right now after reading this, but frankly, I think pro-lifers should take these insults as a badge of honor.
Pelosi knows that abortion on-demand is absolutely indefensible, so she’s resorted to elementary school name-calling.
How is it “dumb” that we accept the scientific fact that life begins at conception?
And how is it “close-minded” that we want to protect women when study after study shows just how much abortion hurts women?
The truth is, I think we got under Nancy Pelosi’s skin yesterday.
You see, pro-lifers across the country participated in a TweetFest social media campaign to educate Nancy Pelosi about Margaret Sanger’s hateful legacy.
She was a well known eugenicist who thought birth control and abortion were the best way to “create a race of thoroughbreds.” Sanger believed in forced sterilization of “the feeble minded,” and said that “the most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”
We presented Nancy Pelosi with facts about Margaret Sanger, and instead of attempting to defend the indefensible, she resorted to name calling instead.
I can agree with you there.
So will any Freepers who are Catholic, please tell us why she has not even been denied communion, let alone being excommunicated?
Actually, She’s a Representative but with Boxer and Feinstein as Senators, the difference must be minimal. Sad state of affairs.

After birthing however many children she has, just when does this idiot think life begins. Honestly, I don’t see how anyone that has been pregnant and given birth can think life doesn’t begin at conception.
Why let facts, or Truth, for that matter, get in the way of your agenda and personal beliefs. Why do you think that Obama wants faith banned, but worship can be practiced in your house of worship. Faith makes the person who they are...inside and out. One can seem to worship God, but utter useless meaningless drivel.
Heaven does NOT view them as “a hilarious zoo “. Heaven is profoundly saddened at everyone who is lost.
Christ came to Earth to suffer for and redeem the lost. The tragedy is that they don’t have to be “lost” to eternal
damnation, it is their own free will choice to be condemned.
Unfortunately many never get the chance to learn about Jesus and that is a great tragedy. For those who have had the opportunity to learn about the Christ and then reject them are sentencing themselves to their own just punishment.
Jesus is reported to be appearing to many Moslems so even some who are denied the opportunity by Islam to learn about Jesus can be “saved”.
God is a God of love, mercy, and forgiveness and He is even willing to forgive the Moslem who in truth are earnestly seeking Him and His only begotten Son Jesus.
The bible doesn’t say what chance is given for the lost to be saved when they never had a chance to learn about Jesus and accept Him. The closest example we have is the lifelong thief who was crucified along with Jesus who admitted his sins and rightful punishment and asked Jesus to “remember” him. Jesus replied that that day the thief would be with Him in Heaven.
Another example is when Jesus died and went to Hell He is believed to have presented the lost who had not had an opportunity to learn of Him and accept Him the opportunity to do so.
It is never too late to accept Jesus if one is truly repentant and choses to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Sick.

This isn’t petty — it’s not God but the people who have put themselves in this position. Before eternal hell there is a chance to get right. But in eternal hell, what are they going to do, make heaven sorrowful forever?
The Catholic Church should excommunicate the fraud Pelosi. I don’t understand why it hasn’t.
It’s obvious that power and perks are the things that are important to these people. Their religious “beliefs” are for nothing but campaigning and photo opps.
They’ve kind of “finessed” the issue by saying that the person having taken such a position is “self excommunicated.”
And so he might be in some theoretical sense. But what happened to the Lord’s biblically recorded admonition to the church to treat someone who refuses a rebuke before the church to be treated like a foreigner and a tax collector?
She’s putting the church to worldly use and the church is acquiescing to this.
Organized religion is not something I can get into. If Martin Luther was alive today he’d have to start all over.
That was going to be my question, too. They really give out a Margaret Sanger award? The eugenicist? Really?
I guess they do. Wow.
It beats disorganized religion.
And black people aren’t screaming bloody murder over it.
