Were Pelosi, Feinstein, Boxer, etc given chance to scrub Internet of pic's with Sen. Leland Yee?

For some odd reason, they seem as rare as public pay phones and customer services.

If someone can find one or two, I appreciate it if they could provide a couple.

Thank you.

I think Yee’s fellow Senators in CA, Feinstein, Boxer,

First of all, they're not "fellow Senators" any more than your own local State Senator is a "fellow Senator of Teddy Kennedy" or of the "Washington Senators". They're just fellow sleazy democRAT politicians who happen to originally be from the same state. (I use "originally" in reference to those who are now virtually residents of DC).

I would expect that Yee spends most of his political schmoozing time with other CA Statehouse types and occasionally with Guv Moonbeam, given the fact those two groups work together on a daily basis. And in election years with County-level party events, to press the flesh and help guard against primary challengers.

If he's been a really long-term Dem politico in the SF area either at the Statehouse or County or City Council levels, who many years ago rubbed shoulders with Pelosi & Feinswine when they were still working their way up the ladders of power, than there should be photos of him with Feinswine & Pelosi from way back when.

But Pelosi/Feinswine/Boxer have long been DC-centered, so socializing with CA statehouse people is a far rarer event these days.

What you might want to do is, google/wiki the early political careers of Yee, Pelosi and Feinswine (Boxer is LA-based, isn't she?). Then compare the timelines to see who was in which political office and when. Then instead of just googling their names together, google the particular government organization they were in together at that time (if there are any), and perhaps throw the date range into the search parameters as well.

Any events before the late-90s likely won't have googlible photos since nobody was posting digital photos on the internet until the WWW started to really take off. So the only photos you're likely to find online would be included within full-page newspaper scans on archive sites - many of which are not free to browse.

LHe’s a mere State Senator and may not have mingled with the far more elitist Senatresses Difi

Come on Mikey..Mere State Senator?

A quick crusory search revealed:

A pic of Feinstein with Mayor of San Jose Mayor, what's his name?

People like Feinstein, Boxer and Pelosi have their pics taken with everyone of any level of political influence in CA...Part of the job..

Yet none with their fellow Senator?

From their own state?

Here's one of Feinstein and Santa Ana mayor challenger Benavides

Think again Mikey..

"WHERE'S WAL-YEE?"

Here's for someone with the time .... paste Yee's face onto one of these --- , do an edge-merge, and then restore the dorky glasses.

Pelosi and Feinstein are *not* fellow Senators, but are Democrats from CA...No?

There are literally many dozens of them...But none of Yee.

There does seem to be an outside chance that senatresses Difi and Pelosi have indeed gone the extra mile to distances themselves from Leland Yee.

There remains the chance that spmeome will remmeber seeing such a photo and also remember on what site they saw it

that could allow for an extensive use of the Internet Archives Wayback Machine which contains In Intact Pages...replete with images stored...on THEIR servers. Thats where all of John Kerrys SCRUBBED pages were back years ago..same as the stuff...Al Gore wanted to disappear from his website.

One-On-One photos like these are very different than other kinds of photos.

Keep in mind that virtually all one-on-one photos of "Big Star Within the Party" standing right next to "Lesser Political Figure" (or even with Average Everyday Political Junkie/Tourist), are photos that are sought out NOT by the Big Star, but rather by the other person.

And there's some driving motivation on the part of the lesser political figure behind obtaining the one-on-one,. Note these 2 photos captions (esp. the word "challenger"). They're running for office (or re-election) in a non-"Safe Seat". Either they're worried about the general election or about a primary election, and whichever the case is, they're calculating that a one-on-one photo of them with DF will be an overall positive for their campaigns.

I'm wondering if perhaps Yee has been in a job-for-life heavily slam-dunk "Only Democrats Need Apply" district for so long that he's neglected the standard political M.O. of collecting photos of this type. If not, then you can bet he'd just LOVE to obtain a bunch of these now! But of course that's not gonna happen since he became toxic.

Here are a few photos that Algor wishes he could erase --- of him & Tipper and The Most Reverend Fred Phelps & wife back when Gore was running in the 1988 Dem Prez Primary and the Phelpses hosted a Dem fundraiser for him ...
From Conservapedia:

And of course Jim Jones and the then-First Lady of the US ---

Please read the title to the thread.

62 posts now and not one single pic of Yee with CA fellow Democrats Feinstein, Pelosi, or Barbara Boxer...

If ya find one, please let me know.

I went so far as to search the flickr accounts associated with both pelosi and boxer, thinking that a missing file there might raise eyebrows...and so any photo containing yees image would not as likely get deleted...aka scrubbed..

nothing for either senator

OK, we are talking past each other here!

I assumed you were an American Political Junkie, like 90% of us Freepers. Perhaps not? Because it looks like you are thinking that "California has these 3 senators - Boxer, Yee and DiFi. How come only two of the three are appearing together in all these photos?"

Let's clear this up.

There are two very different types of "Senators" in the US - on the Federal level and on the State level.

Each state sends exactly two *Federal* Senators, no more and no less, to Washington DC to represent their state in the United States Senate. The US Senate, along with the US House of Representatives, compose our legislature at the Federal/National Level.

But at the State Level, each state has their own Legislature. Almost all of the 50 have a two-part (or "bi-cameral") legislature plus a governor plus a state supreme court that mirror the Federal Govt's structure (of US Senate + US House + US Prez + US Supr Ct). The state-level legislatures usually have a few dozen members in the "senate" chamber, and maybe twice as many(?) in their "house" chambers. The names are usually something like "the Colorado State House" or "the Georgia State Senate" or similar.

In California's case, they use the terms "State Senate" and "State Assembly". They have 40 State Senators, each of them representing one geographical district in the state and having 4-year terms, and 80 State Assembly people representing smaller districts and having 2-year terms.

SUMMARY: Yee is one of 40 California State Senators (meeting at the state capitol of Sacramento) who represents only his own district (= half of SF City plus parts of San Mateo County). But Boxer & Feinswine represent the entire State of California in the United States Senate that meets in Wash. DC. So his job is to work on legislation for the State of California, while BB & DiFi's jobs are to legislate for the entire USA.

PS: Nebraska insists on doing everything differently. They have only a single ("uni-cameral") state legislative body. And they often split up their electoral votes at Prez election time, rather than the ubiquitous "winner takes all" model. The only good reason I can think of for this is that 150 years ago NEB must have considered it a fun prank to confuse schoolkids nationwide on tests & homeworks in their required "Civics Classes" - where you're taught about how all levels of govt work. But the joke's on them, because a half century of educational decay in the US means that school kids no longer learn this kind of info, so Nebraska's ancient prank is now totally moot. :-)
