Here is the way it looked in 2010, just before Palin led us to history making conservative victories in the 2010 election cycle.

4/5/2010
I think that the 2008 Republican VP not supporting the Presidential candidate in his reelection to his Senate seat would make the entire Republican race of 2008 look like a failed sham that the GOP was trying to pull over the public’s eyes, and I think that it would have halted the momentum that conservatives have built in recent months.

I believe that the general public would view Palin as shallow, unstable, and threatening, and also see the entire Republican brand in the same way, like they are in disarray and broken and most importantly, unstable and not ready to lead. Obama and the Democrats would be seen as the more stable and their win of 2008 would be perceived as the nation dodging a bullet that did not become known to the general public until Palin turned on the man that 60 million Americans voted for, for President.

I think that Palin has the reasons that you and others describe, but I also think that she sees the big picture and knows that the image that affects the vast general public will effect all of the conservative hopes for 2010, and that the general public does not see or want the same thing that the smaller number of us that despise McCain see or want.

I think that the media would have created an entire devastating narrative on the Arizona race that they would have used as a bludgeon against the Republicans and the Tea Parties and conservatives, and they would have buried Palin for good in an image of totally negative character and personality descriptions. It would all be incredibly ugly and while we here would see through it, the vast voting public would not, and that would effect all of our races nationally, and at the same time make Obama and his party look like a beacon of stability and consistency.

Sorry, but the Reagan mantle falls on Sarah Palin first.

President No. 45.

Both are outstanding American patriots. We need 98 more just like them in the Senate.

The government has tasked itself with way too much to be able to actually follow through on it, and Paul would be as good as anything to spearhead the task of “right sizing” it.

I agree, in both size and power, big Government is an enemy to the people and the constitution because Government employees which is the biggest voting group votes for them selves in the form of bigger Government which brings them more power and more money.

Such folly is eventually self punishing. One can try to head it off by means of wisdom.

As in Christian cross. In the Christian faith, a cross is identified as the place where God did the world the biggest favor of all.

Exactly. The headline is bogus and it is immediately obvious to most of us

Please! Reagan would never have contempt for “social” issues like Paul has

I disagree, i believe President Reagan had contempt on many social issues, that is why Mike Reagan was loading trucks to help pay his way through school.

I hope Rand Paul is not on the ticket, it would be hard to support

I said Palin suffered for what she did. She did not get a pass. But she has come back in favor because of her actions.

For awhile conservatives ignored and discredited her but she came back and endorsed a lot of true conservatives who went on to win. So yes she got her standing back.

But Paul has not connected back with conservatives. He continues to play games with conservative principles with respect to immigration reform, to endorsing establishment incumbents and appearing feckless on foreign policy.

Paul is where Palin was 4 years ago. She came back to the light. When will he?

Hey Ron, try laying off the left-hand rolled cigarettes. You're not even capable of getting into Reagans shoes much less filling them.

Paul is a Senator, voting on federal legislation, and running for president, and has revealed that he will not fight for a full conservative agenda.

And that would be the equivalent of applying the finishing touches on the soul of this nation. Go ahead Paul, stick a fork in us as we will be all but dead.

In all honesty, we conservatives are fed up with Paul’s coming out to move the party and the nation left...

Who is "we", kemosabe?

That would include me as well. I reside to the right of the political center rather than the left of center as to where Paul wants drag us to.

Yeah, I’m just not feeling Paul. He’s been taking far too many positions that will make him a bit dangerous as president. VP? Maybe. But Cruz has my support.

I like the way you think.
