I don’t think they can. As Reagan said, “Socialized medicine is the holy grail of Democrats.” I’ve heard several people say, “The problem is they let the insurance companies handle it. They should have gone for one payer, the government only.” This is what the Communists...now the Democrats, have wanted since the 1930’s. They can’t repeal it without losing their base. That would spark primary challenges in most districts. Nothing scares a politician more than a primary challenge.
