Hon. Steve LaTourette, President and Chief Executive Officer

LaTourette claims to speak for the “centrist” or “moderate” wing of the Republican Party, but his voting record pegs him among the party’s leftmost members.

LaTourette’s lifetime score from FreedomWorks is 54 percent; he scored 32 percent in 2012.

LaTourette’s 2012 Heritage Action score of 35 percent was lower than every other Republican except Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, the senators from Maine. Sen. Snowe is helping Defending Main Street with fundraising.

Of all Republicans, only New Hampshire Congressman Charles Bass and Illinois Congressman Bob Dold had lower Club for Growth ratings than the 45 percent LaTourette earned in 2012. LaTourette’s highest Club for Growth score was 69 percent in 2010, and his lowest was 18 percent in 2007.

Last year, Toomey’s leadership political action committee gave $10,000 to each of three Senate Republican incumbents being challenged by tea party opponents this year: Collins, Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

“I do think it’s an interesting evolution, and it shows really positive growth on his part to set aside dogma to find a way forward,” said LaTourette, a Republican.

“Bush. Dole. McCain, Romney were all moderate and liberal, by your measure they should win handily”

Yeah, and how many of them can you call “Mr. President.” They were all mainly “Mr. It’s My Turn’s.” They tried to parlay their election’s on fifty year old war woulds. There is a huge difference between being a good soldier and being a good president, and the fact that you are the former,. should not be an entrée
to the latter. Just look at Eisenhower of you doubt what I am saying. Talk about your “golfing president.”

The conservatives they are trying to silence are the very ones who do the grunt work for the GOP.

The reality is that the Tea Party is the REAL Republican Party. Rove and the GOPe are just Statists.
Liberal Pubbies and Dems are for the same thing.
Electing establishment republicans has gotten us into this stinkin’ mess.

Take that Purist drivel and stow it Troll. We aren’t voting for Squish ever again. So you should stop supporting Liberals in the GOP.

You vote the Constitution or you don’t. It’s that simple.

"candidates receiving support from the Ruling Class, Crony Capitalists such as Karl Rove, John Boehner, Eric Cantor and Mitch McConnell. "

Unfortunately, Mr. Viguerie omitted John Cornyn, one of the top GOPe co-conspiritors.

“Then along came such purists as Christine (”I am not a witch”) O’Donnell in Delaware—which should have been an easy pickup for the GOP.”

Right; if only we could have run someone like George Allen, Connie Mack, Pete Hoekstra, Denny Rehberg, Heather Wilson, Rick Berg, and Tommy Thompson. Oh, wait. Never mind. They all lost to Dims.

Don’t drink the Karl Rove kool-aid.

It took a long time (and an almost stated Declaration of War by the GOPe against the Tea Party) but I’ve finally reached the point where I will NOT vote for a RINO. I’ll support conservatives as much as I can, but WE NEED A SERIOUS CULLING OF THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESSIONAL HERD so that true conservatives can take over Congressional leadership from these despicable RINOs. If said “culling” requires voting for the RINOs’ DemocRAT opponent or a Losertarian opponent, I’m now ALL IN with that strategy. Hell, I might ACTIVELY campaign and contribute financially to the defeat of these RINOs who have declared war on us.

We need to seize control of the Republican Party and turn it into a recognizable conservative party. That can ONLY happen by ejecting RINO leaders and supporters individually.

"As the Republic sinks into the quagmire and perhaps a real civil war."

In case you failed to notice, the Republic is already into the quagmire. I can't help but believe that a real civil war is exactly what we need.

Doesn’t matter which of them wins and which of them doesn’t, because the result of either is that we lose.

They are all EVIL.

And that’s fine. They ain’t getting my vote any longer unless their name is Ted Cruz.

The rest can go **** themselves.

I sure do get a kick outta telling those GOP shill organizations to take a hard look at my past contributions, and then take note of the fact they’ll not see another nickel, because I’m ONLY contributing DIRECTLY to TRUE CONSERVATIVES.
