For some theaters I think the concessions make the difference between profit and not. (At the price of popcorn, it has to enhance profit, anyway.)

In this man's case, they should have explained their policy didn't make allowances for his condition and refunded his money (and sent him on his way).

It wasn't until after they refused to refund his admission that he went in and took a seat anyway.
