Senator: 'There's No Such Thing as Obamacare'
The Weekly Standard ^ | March 30,2014 | DANIEL HALPER

Posted on 03/31/2014 6:06:14 AM PDT by Hojczyk

Senator Angus King, an independent senator from Maine who caucuses with the Democrats, said this morning on Fox that "There's no such thing as Obamacare."

"Two points if I may, sir," says Fox host Chris Wallace. "One, then why is Harry Reid saying he's not going to allow a vote on the fixes? And, two, speak directly and briefly, becase we're about to run out of time, to Senator Barrasso's comment that a lot of doctors, a lot of hospitals are being excluded by what Obamacare is offering."

"Now, now that's a big -- There is no such thing as Obamacare. You can't sign up for Obamacare. You sign up for an Anthem policy or an Aetna policy or a WellPoint policy. It's private insurance," said King.

Lol! I wonder if that's the democrats new campaign meme now that its obvious that Obamacare is a loser going into the 2014 elections. “Obamacare is just a figment of your imagination! All those bad things that are happening with healthcare are the fault of those greedy private insurance companies!”

Well, there is no such thing as the Affordable Health Care Act. It went ‘poof!’ about 30 executive Fiat’s ago, and its descendants have been going ‘poof!’ as well...

That seems to be the latest Dem talking point. Even Pelosi is doing it. Correct people when they say 'Obamacare'.

They are trying to distance Obama from his signature failure.

Its all over the liberal boards:

Problems with Obamacare - its because those dastardly insurance companies are involved.

There are a lot of straw men for the libs to line up -

1) Greedy Insurance Companies who want to operate with a profit.

2) Greedy Doctors who won’t join the network and lose money on every patient they see.

3) And coming next year...after it becomes obvious the group that has signed up for this mess is highly subsidized, abuses medical care and the emergency room, and pays premiums late...the awful greedy rich who won’t pay any more taxes to keep the party going.

“Now, now that’s a big — There is no such thing as Obamacare. You can’t sign up for Obamacare. You sign up for an Anthem policy or an Aetna policy or a WellPoint policy. It’s private insurance,” said King.”

Very clever.

Another Democrat liar.

Too late, Obama himself already called it ‘Obamacare’.

For you students of history Maine was once part of Massachusetts. And when you consider that absolute filthbags that Maine sends to DC and to Augusta (their capital) that's very easy to believe.

Oh no. Those are the policies we signed up for before obamacare. I lost my free retirees insurance because of it and in addition to medicare, I am paying over $200 for my drug and medigap coverage that was free to me prior. Not a lot but I am on a fixed income. It will not grow any larger but I know that each year before I am “liberally euthanized”, that coverage will cost more.

“Well, there is no such thing as the Affordable Health Care Act. It went ‘poof!’ about 30 executive Fiat’s ago, and its descendants have been going ‘poof!’ as well...”

Where are the court challenges to the ACA claiming it is unconstitutional because it has been arbitrarily rewritten and exemptions or delays have illegally been granted to specific groups? I believe the inscription over the Supreme Court Building entrance says “Equal Justice Under Law”. This law has not been applied equally and should be struck down for that reason.

The 6 million privately insured people who lost their policies were harmed by the unequal application of the law while those with group policies whose implementation was delayed arbitrarily were benefited. It would seem the 6 million would have legal standing to sue.

“I like it. I don’t mind,” the president told former NBA star Charles Barkley in an interview that aired Sunday about the term Obamacare. “And I tell you, five years from now, when everybody’s saying, ‘Man, I’m sure glad we got health care,’ there are going to be a whole bunch of people who don’t call it Obamacare anymore because they don’t want me to get the credit.”

I guess that's why they went back to calling it the ACA.

“Anguish” King couldn't get elected in Maine as a Democrat, so he calls himself an “independent”.

Then every chance he gets he runs flac for Obama and the lefties.

The real idea here is to demonize the insurance companies. Private Insurance? Nope. They are insurance companies that were probably bullied into this deal or else be demonized out of existence.

The outcome? Since dems set this to fail, the fail will be blamed on insurance companies and the dumb public will call for action. Enter single payer, which I am sure is waiting in a desk to be slammed out as the emergency answer.

I do think the dems may have tried too hard to make it all fail too quickly. They are seen as incompetent and it will no longer be easy for people to envision letting them run health care.

Oh ok,so there is no Independent Payment Advisory board,All 15 members ,appointed by the President alone, whose job it is,is to decide if you are of the right age group and have not had your Quota of Quality of life years to qualify for the treatment the doctor has prescribed for you.
Now if you don’t like the decision of the board you might think you could complain, sorry no appeals allowed, the insurance policy you have, regardless of this jerks Copper plan or any other worthless plan has to go by the Almighty Goverment Bureaucrats orders set by the unaccountable board,or the high and mighty no nothing Sebeilius, the abortion queen.
That IS OBAMACARE

speak directly and briefly, becase we’re about to run out of time”

...and that is exactly what the commie wanted to hear. This is music to any dems ears because their entire existence and position is based on lies so when they speak...it’s because they have to. “Killing time” should be their slogan.
