Um, I'm thinking the uber rich ain't too worried about energy prices skyrocketing since they (some) have plenty of money to pay for their power to their 10,000 sq ft+ abodes. As far as the methane, congress better be concerned about all the foul air they're creating.

They are determined the ‘rest of us’ will eat a low protein vegan diet. Whether we like it or not. We will simply not be able to afford meat or dairy. Only the elites will eat cheese or steak.

First they take away our ability to exhale (CO2). Now they are going to make it illegal to pass gas too (methane)?

All cows will have to wear ‘fart collectors’ .... sort of like catalytic converters are used to control emissions. Monthly inspections will be required to certify the collectors are working properly. What will be done with the methane in the collectors is still undetermined, but CGI is working on a resolution to this back end problem.

When is the EPA going to start shooting people for expelling CO2 gas?

Maybe that is why all these gov agencies are buying ammo....

For the environment...

If we could develop a pareto chart of the reasons companies fled the United States I’d wager the EPA would represent 75% of the total. They have formed a fourth branch of government making and enforcing their own laws written to the anti-business liberal agenda.

At one job I frequently dealt with the city, county, state and the federal EPA. Any of their inspectors could shut you down. Some of them literally swaggered around the plant. Finally, the company hired a full-time environmental engineer just to deal with them. Preparation for visits often consumed several people full time. It wasn’t that we were doing anything hazardous, it’s that the entire plant got spit polished every time. I wouldn’t be surprised if the plant spent $20,000 for each visit. The engineer probably got $115,000 plus bennies.

If the EPA starts going after methane emissions, then what.
Where I live, we have so much methane coming out of the ground that if you walk around a blacktop parking lot in the rain, you will see lots of bubbles coming up through the ground.

The company I used to work for sank a small well in the parking lot for about $10K and used the gas for heating.

As a natural gas utility, will we soon be issuing monetary fines(tax) for customers who have small leaks in their homes, or had their stove pilot go out?

OMFG

They want to tax farts now.

There is a theory that every possible outcome in every possible way of every possible situation, is represented in a n infinite number of parallel universes.

I just happen to have fallen into the Bizarro universe timeline.
