Former U.S. Sen. Bob Kerrey is speaking his mind about the president, telling London's Daily Mail that President Barack Obama suffers from self-delusion and that he only won in 2012 because he sucked less than Romney.
Kerrey went on to rap Obama for his oft-repeated health care promise that under Obamacare, Americans could keep insurance plans they liked.
He had to know he was misleading the audience, the former Nebraska governor told the British newspaper last week.
Kerrey also said that 2009 was the wrong time to attempt a health care reform, as the nation was just starting to recover from a deep recession. When it became clear the president was determined, however, it was a political mistake to give up on the public option of his health care plan, Kerrey said.

Many here on Free Republic agreed with Bob Kerrey on this point. The ugly truth is that Free Republic was a net positive for Barack Obama in his campaign for reelection. I don't think that things have worked out very well.

This last election, a lot of Democrats voted for Obama for precisely the same reason a lot of Republicans voted for Romney. They weren't voting for their guy, they were voting against the other guy.
So everybody was going to lose either way.
Yeah, that voting "against" stuff, works every time.
