California Democrats intent on damage control after Leland Yee arrest (gun-running Dem a downer)
CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR ^ | 3/31/14 | Daniel B. Wood, Staff writer

Posted on 04/02/2014 4:19:02 PM PDT by Liz

The stunning arrest of veteran Democrat Leland Yee will erode, at least temporarily, Democratic dominance in the very blue Golden State. Yee, arrested after a five-year FBI sting operation, faces federal charges related to conspiracy to traffic in firearms without a license and accepting campaign funds in exchange for political favors.

An LA Times headline read, “Even old hands are stunned by Yee allegations.” “If there ever has been a more nauseating corruption scandal in Sacramento, I’m not aware of it, writes one observer. “The notion of a legislator masquerading as a gun control crusader while offering to help a mobster traffic in automatic rifles and rocket launchers is beyond hypocrisy. It’s sick.”

Longer term, the Yee case may fuel anti-incumbent sentiment among voters in this year's elections, possibly giving Republican candidates a boost. “The Yee saga represents a potential political earthquake that California goes through about every 10 to 15 years,” says a political scientist at Sonoma State University.

The size of the ripple effect will depend on yet-to-emerge details. “The Yee case involves a respectable person doing unspeakable things with garish criminals. It's a mix of 'Breaking Bad,' 'House of Cards,' and 'The Wire.' People pay attention, which is why his suspension followed so soon" after Yee's arrest. It may also affect Asian-American voters and candidates... Betty Yee, state controller candidate, could see her campaign suffer by name association.

Believe me, as soon as the MSM saw “D,” they never planned to report it anyway.

Democrat gun control advocate caught running guns? No, the MSM is much more interested in reporting on a bridge closure in New Jersey since it can be blamed on an (R).

Nice that the LAT is onto Yee's perverted activities. The LAT should do its readers a favor and investigate Yee's deep connections in Democrat circles.

Cali/Nanzi Pelosi's reaction was typical of this airheaded boob---said she thought it was "a mistake." No doubt Pelousy's been a regular at the "Yee House of Mirth".....cashing campaign donation checks, and the like.

===========================================

HEY, LAT, THIS STORY COULD DWARF YEE'S CORRUPTION : Just before the Yee scandal broke, US Sen Dianne Feinstein---Senate Intel Committee head---whined about the CIA looking through her computers and taking documents. In light of the Yee scandal, this has more resonance now than when she began her whining.

Just wondering. Did Di use her access to valuable US security data improperly? Is hubby cutting new deals w/ the Chi/Coms? Hubby Richard Blum made millions in China deals in past years. How'd he do that?

GOVERNMENT FOR SALE: CONTACT YOUR LOCAL DEMOCRAT PARTY Scumbag Democrat Yee conferred government legitimacy on Shrimp Boy Chow's "Ghee Kung Tong" criminal enterprise; Yee used government power and resources to issue an official state proclamation honoring the group.

The SF/GATE reports Democrat Yee took Chow's $6,800.....and used government resources and tax dollars----to officially "honor" the "Chinese brotherhood organization" that his arms trafficking co-conspirator Shrimp Boy Chow had allegedly turned into a criminal enterprise.

==============================================

DI/FI SUCKS UP Taking her cues from a fellow Scumocrat, US Senator Dianne Feinstein "Honored" Raymond Chow---a criminal conspiring to commit anarchy. Clearly, Shrimp Boy Chow had something Sen Feinstein needed.

IS DI/FI'S HUBBY THAT SMART? Di's hubby made millions doing deals in China. Did M/M Di/Fi get any help from Yee? From Shrimp Boy Chow? Intros to helpful Chinese officials....for a fee?

INCONVENIENT FACTOID As Head of the Senate Intel Committee--Di/Fi gets valuable ntl security

Somehow it seems like Obama and Holder were not aware of this sting. Could there be some semblance of integrity in the FBI after all?

Not a chance. This is California. It is too far gone. These people would vote for Satan if he was a rat.

"The Yee case involves a respectable person doing unspeakable things with garish criminals."

Let's see. Yee's a garish criminal from the looks of things. So who's the 'respectable person'?

Is Boxer up for reelection? Tie her to Yee. Doesn’t matter if it is false. Lie about it. Say Boxer helped funnel guns and she is part of Al Queada.

Go full Alinsky on her.

California State Sen. Leland Yee charged with promising guns, missiles from Muslim group...

Dems don't want to own up to one of theirs running heavy arms for Muslim terror cells. Might expose how treasonous they all are.

Who needs pressure cookers when you've got shoulder fired missiles?

Commiefornia would do much better with term limits for the state assembly and gov'nor.

EVERY time ANYONE in California mentions “gun control”, WE MUST ask them,

“ARE YOU RUNNING GUNS TOO?”

Never let the conversation get any further than that!

Yee was not just some senator
“In 2004 Yee became the first Asian American to be appointed Speaker pro Tempore, making him the second highest ranking Democrat of the California State Assembly. He was an award-winning gun control advocate.[4]”

He was a higher echelon democrat.

The yummy collateral effect:

Everytime anyone in California mentions “gun control,” stop the grabbers in their tracks. Just ask 'em: “ARE YOU RUNNING GUNS TOO? Never let the conversation get any further than that!

Yee was not just some plain ol' corrupt gun-grabber Dummycrat: “In 2004 Yee became the first Asian American to be appointed Speaker pro Tempore, making him the second highest ranking Democrat of the California State Assembly. He was an award-winning gun control advocate.[4]”He was a higher echelon democrat.

We already have them. Nameless criminals with unidentified loyalties looking to cash in quickly because they cannot stay is what you get with term limits.

I wish that was the case. For example, the legislation that "deregulated" only electrical demand and therefore precipitated the California power crisis of 2002 was written by a Republican, passed unanimously, and was signed by Pete Wilson. Here is a history, here is my account of the causes of that history.
