Driving while female?
“Driving while female?”
I couldn’t imagine what two female reporters were thinking going to Afghanistan; I felt the same way about Daniel Pearl in Pakistan. Not that they deserved what they got, but I can’t imagine what would lead them into such danger. Do any of these people really believe Muslims are “tame”? As journalists they should know better.
Apparently they are veteran journalists and very courageous. But people do underestimate the enemy.
Just read the article, it appears that may be precisely what happened.
Naqibullah walked up to the car, yelled "Allahu Akbar"I know it's been said a billion times before but I want to say it again: what a disgusting pig excuse for a "religion".
Another example of how the religion of peace demonstrates itself......and the LSM will continue to delude themselves......
From Twitter: Kathy Gannon, wounded in Afghanistan, has been one of the most solid & reliable sources of information from the region for years.
“Apparently they are veteran journalists and very courageous. But people do underestimate the enemy.”
I understand what you are saying, but not what they did. Forty years ago dozens of journalists disappeared trying to reach out to the Khmer Rouge; turns out our government was right in describing the threat they posed. Unlike the media-savvy Vietnamese who used our media as their weapon against us, the Khmer Rouge were illiterate peasants (led by a few educated communists) who saw everything Western (including the media) as dangerous to their cause.
So? Isn’t that the way the AP prefers to go?? Killed by the people they adore? See, this was a good thing ...
Perhaps you misunderstand .........
They were journalists, they were overseas, they were AP, they were not married, they had careers......... they had it all!
good lord what a hell hole...
There is a fine sequence in Zero Dark Thirty that shows the difference between someone who naively loves the enemy and one who knows her stuff. That was fiction of course but it made all the right points.
Brilliant movie. Scenes with the ice cream cones and the monkeys also outstanding metaphor.
I wish they had been a little less trusting, but then they wouldn't have been who they were/are.
Hell hole for sure.
Do any of these people really believe Muslims are tame?
Always treat the muslim as if it's loaded. One would/should not point a weapon at a person, you never know... it might go off. Same with the muslim... is a muslim is pointed at a human, it might go off as well.
They are not courageous, they were foolish. They got killed for committing grievous offenses in a place where they assumed being “press” out weighed local customs.
Feminism out of control got them killed
It's just like they went on a safari... unarmed.
