Just a reminder to those who speak of giving up the fight.

That may be the worst sin or all. Not only does it betray the nation, Christianity, and oneself, its a betrayal of God. At the end of it all God will judge us as individuals. I surely don’t want to explain that I gave up because it was just too hard to keep fighting.

A refocus will be necessary. We can’t presume to “save a country.” The good Lord may or may not present us with an opportunity to do that. He knows what kind of people He has appointed to be here today and for all we may know it’s selected from mostly permanent reprobates. (I am not here arguing for Calvinism, but for eternal perspective.)

Still, to care enough for Christ that you will want to share His good news to every uncertain soul whether going through thick or thin, that’s the ticket. In the end it ain’t about us. It’s about the good Lord. We are among the beneficiaries. The Lord will always honor that.
