>”I fear for my kids as I see no recovery in sight. Im not a defeatist but how does one combat an ignorant public that hasn’t a care?”<

You can’t. I am the official Pariah of the Family because I call things like I see them. I have seen first hand how people who I thought had it figured out have “drifted” into the fog of Liberalism. I cringe when I hear those same people, family and friends, say “President Obama”, giving that Moron more respect than he deserves.

Now my own Wife admonishes me to not talk “Politics” whenever we are around those people. It’s funny how they are the ones that start the Political conversations, while I attempt to finish them. Either way, I end up being the bad guy, so I understand your thoughts on this. We are doomed.

My old Tagline, They Live, and we’re the only ones wearing the Sunglasses.

I hope you are correct. Whatever “leftover” confidence I had in the Electorate after the 2008 Election evaporated in 2012.

The 2010 Election gave me hope, but the Media and their Democrat Allies (one in the same), managed to marginalize the Tea Party uprising in less than two years.

It was uncanny to witness how people who support a Constitutionally Limited Federal Government are slandered and lied about with no push back. Goebbels was resurrected.

I think I see your trouble:

Gay State, yea. Conservative, not sure. But here is a clue. Just because some polidiot is a little right of Ted Kennedy doesn't make them a conservative. And just because you vote for them doesn't make you one either. Being in Massachusetts skews the view.

And BTW...don't reveal the answer to the quiz...let's see if any of these left coast geniuses can figure it out.

You say that like somebody gives two s*#ts.

Here’s an unintended (or NOT) consequence to this that affects even people WITH insurance:

So, my wife schedules to go into a doctor for a (covered for free required) physical. Due to “women’s problems”, my wife called to cancel. “Oh, come in anyway, we’ll work around it” says the office. So, during the visit the doctor pointed out twice that this was not a full physical, twice, which my wife thought was odd. So, we get a $300 bill for the visit, when we were expecting zero. Of course, the deductibles have gone up a lot, so it will be a while (if ever, hopefully) that we actually hit it. I don’t need to tell you that the insurance company pays crap (which she accepted) for a physical.

This doctor has pulled this sort of thing twice; we are done with her and her associates.

Oh my Lord! How many times must he lose before he gets the message?

Sure, he would be better than Obama, but that’s like noting Goering was a nicer guy than Hitler.

We need someone besides a Menshevik to battle the Bolsheviks. No more “Moderates”.

“Electable” Republicans invariably damage the nation more than radical socialists. If not for the deeds of Nixon, Ford and both Bushes, Obama and his minions could not have accomplished their evil.

I’ll be voting for someone who will cut the size, cost, power and influence of the fedgov.......or I won’t vote. Millions more will stay home as well, and the GOP will have another loss.

Cruz, Paul, Palin, Lee, Steven King and MAYBE Scott Walker can win.

Christie, Jeb, Mitt, Paul Ryan etc are all losers.

The thing you don’t get is nominating people who run away from their philosophical base lose elections when the base stays home.

I’m not American GSC, but watching this fiasco from the outside leads me to know that there was no solution. The Mitts the Obamas, the whoever, none of it matters because BOTH parties are complicit. You may get the odd guy who may stand up (Ted Cruz comes to mind), but overall you’ve all been had. The sooner you all realize this, the sooner we can get on to real solutions.

Gay State, yea. Conservative, not sure. But here is a clue. Just because some polidiot is a little right of Ted Kennedy doesn't make them a conservative.

True enough.I've never thought of,or referred to,Romney as being Reagan-esque or Palin-esque.

And just because you vote for them doesn't make you one either.

Romney wasn't my first choice...or my second. But I knew that either Romney or Obama was gonna be sworn in on 1/20/13 and that there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell that anyone from the "Constitution Party" or the "Sons Of Reagan Party" was gonna get a *single* electoral vote, let alone 270.That,combined with the knowledge that the occupant of the White House, regardless of who he/she/it is,has the power to harm me,my family and my country dramatically, compelled me to vote for the less flawed candidate. And BTW...I've never missed a Presidential election and I've never voted for a Presidential candidate that didn't get at least one Electoral vote. Can you make the same claim?

Being in Massachusetts skews the view.

No it doesn't.Reality is the same in Boston,San Francisco,Tierra del Fuego and Bujumbura.

You say that like somebody gives two s*#ts.

So I'll take that as an admission that you, too, don't have the first bleepin' clue who and what Romney is (and is not) nor have the first clue how "Romneycare" came to be.I guess living in a state shrouded in a haze of pot smoke skews one's views and priorities.

I'm not convinced of this.I don't believe we've reached the tipping point just yet.But we're damn close to it for sure. You folks in the Great White North had better hope that we manage to get this ship off the rocks because when the United States catches cold,Canada (and many other countries) get pneumonia.

Whatever RINO fag you’re championing for 2016 will lose again.

there was no solution

The sooner you all realize this the sooner we can get on to real solutions.

What does this mean? Your solution is that we have to get on to working 'across the aisle', as the phrase goes?

Or what?

Do you really suppose that most Freepers don't understand that we've "been had," in your words?

That we don't realize the majority of elected Republicans are in on the con?

It's not that your observations, though unclear, aren't appreciated. It's that if you have ideas for "solutions" you would be most welcome to lay them out here for us.

Good ideas, good battle plans, good solutions we are hungry for. Telling us that we don't know that we've been had is, one, not true, and two, quite the opposite of helpful.

Don’t worry about who watches SNL. My God, its not very many voters and most of them will sleep through election day.

Take heart.

My God...WHY are you wasting your time here?? There's so much to be done. You need to inventory your ammo supply....the expiration dates of your three year supply of MRE's are fast approaching. Then there's your own private power plant to check....your 5,000 gallon supply of gasoline and propane....

Get busy,man!!!!

I was just illustrating the Propaganda. The Mainstream Press already ran away with the wonderful news. The Entertainment (?) Media just reinforces it.

If people don’t pay attention like we do, they just assume it’s all good and get on with their lives.

I see it every day in my interactions with people. As I said, we are the only ones wearing the Sunglasses.

Men like myself, true lovers of freedom won’t let the US just tip over. That said, we lead leaders there to stand up, and to do it soon.

I can’t say what needs to be done because it’ll draw attention, but I think we all know what it is.

You don’t think I already know our countries are attached at the hip? I’ve known this for a long time, which is why events in the US concern me greatly.

Unlike a majority of Canadians out east who would love to see terrible things happen to Americans, most of us westerners are a bit smarter than those idiots.

By idiots I mean leftists, no offense to any real conservatives actually still living out there.

He was unelectable because certain morons were too stupid to vote against the Kenyan, baby-killing, communist, packer.

At least conservatives would be able to manhandle a RINO into position, especially with a few more Congressional seats. Seats that may well have materialized had a couple million of the LIV base showed up.

Hell, practically any other wild-eyed RAT would be better than what YOU PEOPLE gave us.

No, you can't. You've proved you can't. The senate republicans voted for amnesty, despite the pressure conservatives applied. The senate republicans voted to REMOVE the borrowing limit for the federal government, despite the pressure conservatives applied.

If you want to win the presidential election, don't run an anti-gun, pro-abortion, big government liberal that wants amnesty.

It's pretty simple.
