More than 1,000 people protested in a main square in Donetsk, an industrial city, before breaking into the regional administrative building where they hung a Russian flag from a second floor balcony, a Reuters witness said.

The protesters outside cheered and chanted "Russia!".

"Around 1,000 people took part (in the storming of the building), mostly young people with their faces covered," said Ihor Dyomin, a spokesman for Donetsk local police.

"Around 100 people are now inside the building and are barricading the building."

The news announcer said the Luhansk protesters wanted a referendum on the status of their region, similar to the vote carried out in Crimea which paved the way for the region's annexation by Russia. They also demanded the release of people detained by security services in recent days.

what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

If the west was fine with rioters storming the captial of Kiev, they should be equally fine with rioters storming government buildings in East Ukraine.

Or, does the US only support rioters when the are pro-sodomite?

Either the US supports a peoples right to self determination and freedom or we don’t.

It’s a city of 980,000 people. 1000 protest and this holds massive significance for you? Really?

Wow...

Protests often start small and build support.

Plus small amounts of the population can often propel great change for all. Only 30% of Americans at the time supported the American revolutionary war for instance.

Yep, what’s going on in the Ukraine resembles our Revolutionary War to a tee. Great call... /s

What Putin is doing is the same thing Hitler did.

What part of that do you not understand?

I can't imagine how the puppet gov of western Ukraine could justify shooting on the protestors.

If something similar happened in the US, and a bunch of tire-burning thugs manipulated by others took over DC, I'd want the area I lived in to have the right to vote ourselves out of being governed by the thug government.

um... you do know the protests in Kiev started with just a 2,000 people dont you?

quote “Euromaidan started in the night of 21 November 2013 when up to 2,000 protesters gathered at Kiev’s Maidan Nezalezhnosti and began to organize themselves with the help of social networks”

Ukraine's state security services said on Saturday they had detained 15 people in Luhansk suspected of planning to overthrow the authorities and had confiscated hundreds of rifles, grenades and petrol bombs.

NOW the Uke Police confiscate guns and petrol bombs, when they're not in the hands of the Homofascista left.

Yep. Okay hot shot. Putin cares so much about his compatriots in the Ukraine right>? He’s only looking out for their interest right?

Okay bud, why did he just double their gas prices?

None of this sinks in does it.

Says the guy who makes trite Hitler references:

Putin doesn't approve of the mob that overthrew the democratically elected government of Ukraine and is retaliating with economic sanctions in the form of higher gas prices.

Which reveals that he couldn’t care less about his Russian brothers. Good grief man 1 and 1 still equals 2, and this is a simple as it gets.

In Kiev, those were Ukrainians storming Ukrainian buildings. Here, many are Russian nationals, who are dumb enough to post their exploits on the web. Like this guy.
Or Russian nazis as on the other thread

No goose, no gander

Who are the “Good Guys” in Ukraine? I see the same Klepto-Crats running the show in Kiev....not that I support the Russians neither, but it’s a bad situation all around.

I think it’s a third or fourth time that they’ve been storming the same administration building. Each time before, the booze ran out and they were home by Monday. Let’s hope same thing will happen this time too.

Their a millions of ethnic Russians that live in Ukraine.

And surely your not claiming that 100% of the Kiev protesters were from Ukraine are you?

No sodomites rushed in from western Europe to help stick it to Putin for standing up to the Gay Mafia prior to the Olympics?

naa... that would never happen! /s

The mob? You mean the average people, like my uncle, who got sick and tired of Yanukovych lying to them, stealing from them, ignoring what the people wanted in favor of what his Russian masters wanted?

My uncle is a dentist in Kyiv, he like many others got fed up with the government, just fed up. Who was there with him? Students, lawyers, tailors, merchants...these protests were entirely peaceful until Yanukovych had journalists assaulted, beaten to an inch of their lives, sent the secret police after people, began trying to push repressive laws to maintain his grip on power and finally, when it was too late, he wanted to “negotiate.”

You sit here on a supposed pro-liberty site and support denying people in Ukraine a chance to choose their own drstiny, perhaps you are confused, you seem like you would fit better somewhere else with the rest of the Communists.
