Vernon teen suspended from school for twirling pencil, report says

VERNON — A seventh-grade student at Glen Meadow Middle School was suspended last week. The student says he twirling a pencil in class, while the school says it may have been more, News 12 reported.
Ethan Chaplin told News 12 that while he was twirling a pencil with a pen cap on in math class, a student who bullied him earlier in the day yelled, "He's making gun motions, send him to juvie."
Vernon Schools Superintendent Charles Maranzano told News 12 that school policy and the law requires him to investigate when anyone in a school feels uncomfortable or threatened by another student.
Chaplin's father, Michael Chaplin, recorded a conversation between himself, the school's principal and guidance counselor earlier in the week, and posted it on Youtube. In the video's description, Michael Chaplin wrote that his son was to be evaluated and see a therapist before he could return to school.
"I feel my son's right to an education is now being denied because of the malicious actions of another student," Michael Chaplin wrote on Youtube.
Michael Chaplin told infowars.com that his son had to undergo a five-hour physical and psychological evaluation.
"The child was stripped, had to give blood samples (which caused him to pass out) and urine samples for of all things drug testing,” Michael Chaplin told the website. “Then four hours later a social worker spoke to him for five minutes and cleared him. Then an actual doctor came in and said the state was 100 percent incorrect in their procedure and this would not get him back in school.”

Schools are clueless about bullies. The innocent kid is usually the one who gets blamed. The schools are afraid of the bullies, so they often let them off the hook in any confrontation.

When I was in highscho, I put a bully in a headlock for pushing a kids face into a brick wall. He wouldn’t stop and the kid was already knocked out. The principle thanked me. This was in the late 90s. Today, I would have been jailed, labeled a threat, and expelled.
These ridiculous policies are destroying the male population of students. They are almost always on the receiving end. Be more like the girls, sit still, behave yourself, no violence, use emotional reasoning, don’t compete, draw ponies and flowers, obey!

The girls are worse; they just go after each other with vile slander and accusations on FB and texting. Many, many girls have committed suicide after being called sluts, hoes etc and having lies told about them by the Mean Girls.

Your criticism of the editing is half right. You can write on Youtube, in a post accompanying the video. I imagine that is probably what the article writer was describing.

I twirled my pencils all the time and still do. Yoohoo, NSA, just did it for the puter camera.
Who stripped the kid? I’d have their job and everyone within a mile of that happening.
