Someone's been vandalizing compact Smart cars in San Francisco, flipping the tiny vehicles on their front and rear ends in the city's streets.
NBC Bay Area found four of the targeted Smart cars between Sunday night and Monday morning. Two were found in the Bernal Heights neighborhood on Anderson Street, and another was found a bit south on Sweeny and Bowdoin streets, closer to the Portola district. They were either sitting on their headlights, rear bumpers high in the air, or vice versa.
A fourth Smart car -- a small white one with a faded "Obama-Biden" bumper sticker -- was discovered Monday about 9 a.m. at Coso and Prospect avenues between the Mission District and Bernal Heights.

The exact motives behind the vandalism are unclear. The diminutive cars are smaller and lighter than most vehicles. A Smart car weighs about 1,500 pounds; a Ford Focus S Sedan weighs close to 3,000 pounds, and a Hummer clocks in at 8,600 pounds -- definitely a heft that would pose a flipping challenge.

I know this is wrong, but I can’t stop myself from laughing.
I’ve wondered why this hasn’t happened sooner.
Bet this gets more press than the knockout game.

I strongly dislike vandalism, but this is somewhat of a funny nature.
Dirt-heads protesting “gentrification” of the Mission District by the young, well-paid engineers of google, facebook and the many nearby computer game design companies.
They go around screaming that upper-income people drive up rents there, or displace murals and scummy places that “workers” like.
They also torched a huge, nice building nearby, a month ago.
THIS is how they protest.
They also shower buses they dislike with ROCKS.
Well, either way, they’re still criminals.
Yes, they are.
With an odd twist.

Instead of the knockout game, they should call this one the knick knack game, because these cars look like something you could put on a shelf and dust once in awhile.
The video says that the vandals were 6-8 people wearing...hoodies. Oh nooooze!
Surely it will be attributed to ransacking Tea Party types from the midwest.....
OK, they should stop this. It’s bad, m’kay. Very bad. But take pictures!
I suspect the vandals are more upset about the CRAPPY gas mileage these dogs get. You have owners that drive them around, tilt their neck up(and thus their noses) 30 degrees at everyone else and basically call them SAVAGES for wrecking the planet (driving the bigger cars).
Meanwhile, their puny Smart Cars can’t hold a candle to Jetta Diesel or similar cars, when it comes to gas mileage.
For that, they deserve to be on the receiving end of SOCIAL JUSTICE.
When the VW Bug was very popular in the 1950-60’s we would move the front ends up on curbs or whatever was handy.
It only took 3 or 4 guys, after a case of beer or so.
For sure, We made sure that no damage was done.
One time we circled back and found a very nice young lady
who was upset. We rescued her and told her we would try to find the terrible guys that did this to her.
