Eric Holder: ATF Planning to Use Drones
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | April 8, 2014 | Charlie Spiering

Posted on 04/08/2014 6:28:22 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Attorney General Eric Holder admitted Tuesday that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was in the process of looking at the use of domestic drones.

Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, questioned Holder during a House Judiciary Committee hearing, asking the Attorney General if he believed if the Federal Aviation Administration or Congress should regulate of drone use.

“Would you think that it would be better that Congress intervene and employ legislation safeguarding the Fourth Amendment, right of privacy basically on citizens or do you suggest as Attorney General that the FAA still control who gets a drone or not?” Poe asked.

Holder did not specifically address Poe’s question but reveled some details of the use of drones in the Justice department....

The darkside has air supremacy and all the technological tools to take out patriotic Americans and their families.

Don't give them too much credit. They have air superiority in Afghanistan, too, and it isn't doing them much good.

"great, these assoles can’ t kill enough innocent people."

This is what your dealing with....

"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute.." "I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country, "Obama continued "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit..I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."

I believe the obummer was referring to the military buying their own health insurance...

I say we go ahead and trash the place and start over....

They won’t have to walk guns to Mexico, they can fly them there.

Yep.

And the Afghanis have the significant disadvantage in that the boxes on the ground are half a planet away.

Perhaps someone could have asked Mr. Withholder where all those Fast and Furious documents are, as long as they had him present.

In a scenario where the government is targeting Americans like this and in other ways, the real key is not so much taking down drones per se, but causing disruptions further up the line.

IMO, based on the overwhelming resource and technology advantage they would have, partisans would need to resort to intimidation factor. Developing intelligence and determining identities of *all* the people involved in these operations against American citizens. Partisans would have to do what is done in 3rd world countries. You get the people. Drone operators have lives outside of gunning down defenseless people. You get their identities and go after them, their supervisors, their support personnel, *anyone* remotely associated with the operations. They can’t live their lives in guarded compounds. They have to experience fear. Real fear every moment they are not in their little offices protected by the military. This is the tactic the government will use on the people. Relentless intimidation and fear. Wondering when they will come for you.

If that sounds brutal, it is. But not nearly as brutal as what will be being done to innocent American civilians. When Holder and his surrogates start taking out people on the streets it will be a declaration of war. No quarter will offered by them. You match their level of brutality or you lose.

Holder is making it pretty clear that they intend to completely subjugate the people. How else can a thinking person interpret these programs? How far into denial do people have to be to miss that?

...Where they have very restrictive ROE against one of the most bloodthirsty, animalistic enemies on the face of the earth. They won't exercise the same restraint here...

That drone hacking link is pretty interesting.

However, if you’re just interested in disabling one, I would think another drone that could intercept and drop some sort of propeller-fouling material (pieces of string, for example) would be low tech and very effective.

Aren’t the drones controlled by radio signal?
Can’t that signal be jammed?
Jamming is an old technology. The soviets used jamming to intercept radio transmissions they didn’t agree with.

And they would be most vulnerable when taking off and landing. Low and slow meets mean ole Mr. Goose gun.

You might need a little more range than the buckshot will give you. But if you fit that 30 cal up with a 22MM grenade launcher and use a practice grenade to trail a light cord you can snag a lot more little propellers——just trying to help-—carry on-—semper fi.

Jamming can work but they use jam resistant uplinks. Think overloading sensors. Spoofing, feints, etc. What works in third world countries can certainly work here. we have more resources and better modes of transport and comms.

Anti-drone drones coming. Only a matter of time.

The drone situation right now reminds me of the "scout" planes circa Spring of 1914.

The government says that the American Citizen is the enemy now.
