Howard Stern Says Greg Gutfeld Great Replacement for Departing David Letterman
Breitbart's Big Hollywood ^ | April 7, 2014 | Christian Toto

Howard Stern has made no secret of his affection for Greg Gutfeld.

Stern proclaimed Gutfeld's The Five to be his favorite show earlier this year. Now, the self-proclaimed King of All Media is going a step further with his praise for the Breitbart News contributor and author.

Stern told his listeners earlier today that Gutfeld would make a fine replacement for the departing David Letterman.

That praise doesn't come lightly.

Stern has made his animosity toward fellow late night talker Jay Leno well known...

Couldn’t stand Bill Schultz. JoNo is a huge improvement.

Still watch Redeye. Like it more now.

He is one of the few military veterans that I’m aware of on television.

Indeed there aren't very many. The only ones that come to mind are Montel Williams, Charles Osgood, Steve Kroft and Bob Schieffer. Unfortunately, all of them are leftists but most were desk jockeys and REMFs (like Al Gore). I'm sure there are good Conservative radio and television commentators that were in the service. Even so, Patriots such as Rush Limbaugh, Ted Nugent and Mark Levin have done so much for our Brave Troops and America.

...just thought of one as I was ready to hit post: Oliver North, a solid Conservative with a fine documentary, "War Stories".

Levy is an alumnus of Smithtown High School East in Smithtown, New York, the same high school Soledad O’Brien attended.[3] He also graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army (he served as a 31K Combat Signaler); his first permanent duty station was on the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in Korea in the 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, part of the 2nd Infantry Division. He also served in the 4th Battalion, 7th Air Defense Artillery Regiment at Fort Bliss, Texas.

Just thought of a few others — some are not currently active on television but were not too long ago: Chuck Norris, Drew Carey, Rob Riggle (Daily Show), Dennis Franz (NYPD Blue and Goodbye Earl video) and Tom Selleck. There are more Conservatives in that list than in the initial post.

come on Eric has the exact same sized ego. The only difference is Eric doesn’t have his own football like Hannity does.

Notice I said I wanted Redeye in the 11PM slot.

That knocks out O’Reilly reruns which will improve Fox News Channel immensely.

Actually you could replace O’Reilly live and reruns with Sham-Wow Infomercials and it would still be a benefit to mankind.

if I had to pick between Gutfeld and O’Reily I’d still pick O’Reily. Gutfeld is just too goofy and is never serious. RedEye is just a Fox version of Colbert Report or the Daily Show and I just don’t find those types of shows funny or entertaining. It seems those shows are geared for teens/early 20somethings with the sophomoric/immature humor.

Hell, Gutfeld doesn't even take himself seriously half the time. He'd probably be fun to have a beer with.

O'Reilly, on the other hand, is a self-consumed no-it-all who must be a pain in the butt to be around for any length of time.

If I was picking a next door neighbor from those two, it would be Gutfeld hands down.

next door neighbor. I know O’Reily wouldn’t be nearly as annoying as Gutfeld. I’d probably have to restrain myself from taking a shovel to that smug looking face of Gutfeld and those stupid hipster/liberal glasses he wears.

I agree about McIness and Baker, but have you noticed how Andy always gets in arguments with conservatives, especially John Bolton and Baker? He was also very snotty to Ann Coulter, which was kind of a wash, but not his job. He’s just another leftie who happens to pretend to like guns. I would love to see how Andy acts if Ted Nugent was ever a guest. I think Andy’s true colors would burst out.

Thanks GOPJ! Stern’s an entertainer (and a not very entertaining one, as far as I’m concerned), but on 9/11 or 9/12 I heard him say, on the air, that the correct response to those mass-murders in NYC and DC and PA was genocide of Islam. And I did then, and still do, agree wholeheartedly with that. The choice given shall be, repudiate Islam, or die. I don’t care which anyone chooses, but it must be one or the other.
