There was a time when America was truly great , when it’s men and women were courageous , brave and virtuous . Then came the 60’s and 70’s and 80’s , and so much of that virtue went down the dope toilet . Will we ever recover ? I kind of doubt it . Some changes are , sadly , permanent .

Yeah, because everybody drinking like fish and smoking like chimneys in the 40's and 50's made America a paradise on Earth.

I am constantly amazed at the selective memories of some people.
