Just ten days after becoming CEO of web company Mozilla, Brendan Eich resigned after drawing the ire of LGBT advocates.
In 2008, Eich donated money to the Proposition 8 campaign, an effort around legislation to make same-sex marriage illegal in California. When he was announced as the new Mozilla head, members of the LGBT community and even Mozilla employees expressed their dissatisfaction through social media and called for Eichs resignation. Many have since spoken out against the backlash calling it unfair.
On Mondays NewsOne Now, Roland Martin was joined by a panel of guests to discuss the news, whether the LGBT lobby went too far with Eich and where protests cross the line into bullying.
We have to turn the table on them by using in our answer a Hungarian proverb: In judging others, the point of departure is always himself.
Yes, I do.
Dont agree with global warming? You hate a clean environment.
Yes, I do.
Dont want amnesty for illegals? You hate Hispanics.
Yes, I do.
Why should any of these groups be different than all the rest.
I hate everyone.
Nope. I say bring back sodomy laws. It should be a serious felony to engage in homosexual or lesbian acts.
Victimless crime? Consenting adults? Well, I don’t consent and they’re gonna screw me!
When they say, I am against gay marriage, therefore I hate gays, I just tell them I don’t accept the validity of their false arguments, and kind of tell them where the sun don’t shine.
No, but interviewed somewhere.
It is unusual for the central figures in a story to just vanish.
Why would he possibly do an an interview anyway? There’s no way he can win.
You stand with gays, I guess?
Obama is one with the LGBT crowd. They know clearly that Obama was lying in 08. They know it was a means to and end. They are all tyrants.
Depends - on Anderson Cooper probably not.
If he wants to talk to Hannity all he has to do is pick up the ringing phone.
