U.S. mercenaries are not involved in suppressing riots in southeastern Ukraine, the White House said on Tuesday, citing the Greystone private military organization.
"I would point you to what the company [Greystone] itself has said in the past, which is that this is not true," White House press secretary Jay Carney said at a press conference.

Right there is proof the WH is meddling again. If he would have said “we are”, the opposite would have been the truth.
Of course the White House is going to publicly deny that they have placed mercenaries in the Ukraine. I wouldn’t expect anything different from them. That doesn’t mean they didn’t do it, however.
How would you feel if you or a family member were stationed at the Ukraine consulate?
Training them how to kill Russian invaders, should Putin send them forward, would be a noble goal.
If the definition of “mercenary” is a paid private contractor, and they are not employed by Ukraine, then I’ll surmise that these operatives are direct US govt paid.
If you like your mercenaries you can keep them. Period.

So its true, Russian and American proxies can fight it out.
I agree with you there. I believe the exact opposite of what comes out of Carney’s piehole.
Neither I, nor any of my family is dumb enough to be stationed or otherwise at the Ukraine Consulate, you need to ask Chris Stevens' family.
Well, they certainly worked well in Libya, they turned it into a paradise compared to what it was under Qaddafi.
