Two New Studies Raise Red Flags on Obamacare
Fiscal Times ^ | 10 April 2014 | Ed Morrissey

Barack Obama wasted little time last week declaring victory as the deadline for enrollment in Affordable Care Act exchanges expired – well, more or less, anyway. The White House celebrated as it announced that 7.1 million consumers had signed up for health insurance through the federal and state exchanges, slightly exceeding their original goals and significantly outpacing expectations after the disastrous rollout of Obamacare last October. “The debate over repealing this law is over,” President Obama told the press on April 1. “The Affordable Care Act is here to stay.”

Last week, that sounded like wishful thinking. Two new studies released this week prove it.

Before we get to these studies, though, we should recognize why we need outside organizations to validate White House claims in the first place. The Department of Health and Human Services still has no way to quantify important data about those consumers signing up for health insurance through state and federal exchanges.

More than six months after the initial rollout of Obamacare -- and four years after the ACA’s passage -- the systems designed by HHS still cannot determine basic and critical information about enrollments such as whether a premium payment has been made. Without a premium payment, a sign-up in the web portal does not mean coverage has been extended.

Like they needed more studies to demonstrate this monstrosity is doomed to collapse of its own internal inconsistencies, and all the “fixes” that have been applied up to now?

Central planning of the economy is SUCH a hard thing....

Like building one of these SimCity universes. And the designers of Obamacare are not very good at developing lines of code.

I fully expect a future ‘interpretation’ of the multiple instances of the “.....at the director’s [HHS] discretion..” to result in apprehension and incarceration for anyone daring to speak ill of “THE OBMAMACARE.”

A number of people have come forward stating they've received letters from their state informing them that they've been enrolled in Obamacare even though they never singed up. I wonder how many of the 7.1 million were involuntarily enrolled in the last two weeks just to get the numbers up?

So there is no way to tell, weeks later if anyone has paid for their policies ? With a 600 million dollar website it is all a mystery....
I play Battlefield 4 on Playstation. Despite the fact that there are over 20 million people on playstation network, it can tell me at a glance what my accuracy is for each of 30 or so weapons, how many people I have killed, how many vehicles destroyed, how many shots I have fired (675,000 or so) and any other minutia of information. It is updated in seconds and is available anywhere from my laptop to my phone.
I am so glad the government took over health careto make it more efficient.

Your comparison is unfair. Battlefield 4 was created by one of the great software companies, Electronic Arts.

The Obamacare web site was created by a second rate software company. It has been said that the company was chosen because Michelle Obama went to school with one of the executives.

Toni Townes-Whitley, a senior vice president at CGI Federal (Created the Obamacare website), is a Princeton classmate of First Lady Michelle Obama.

According to Federal Election Commission Records, Toni Townes-Whitley gave $500 in 2011 and 2012 to Obama's reelection, and another $1,000 to the Obama Victory Fund.

Just think how popular it will be when everyone will be criminally charged and arrested for refusing to sign up. The barrell of a gun is very persuasive.
