Patton’s Caddy was hardly “crushed”, in fact it was restored and is currently on display. From what I’ve read, Patton wasn’t that badly injured... makes one wonder what happened in the hospital.

Patton hated Josef Stalin, the Soviet leader, and his hatred made him enemies in the U.S. and Great Britain as well as the Soviet Union.

He is supposed to have said, “Tin politicians in Washington have allowed us to kick the hell out of one bastard (Adolf Hitler) and at the same time forced us to help establish a second one (Stalin) as evil or more evil than the first.

FDR the socialist loved Stalin another socialist/communist

Greatest army ever assembled, US Third Army. If Ike didn’t handcuff him, there would be a US flag over the Reichstag vs the commie red star.

First of all, they were the NKVD in 1945. Also, it was a freak occurrence, where he hit the partition in an otherwise minor collision. Sometimes, an accident is just that.......

Much later it was revealed that at Yalta when Churchill was not in the room FDR several times totally changed his tone to that as a conspirator, casting the Brit in light as being some kind of “outsider”.

I think FDR was much more a collectivist than 95% of people realize.

FDR also did know about what Stalin had done with all the Polish officers in the Katyn Forest in Russia and SAID NOTHING.

Even George would have had a very difficult time kicking the hell out of AH without the assistance of JS.

Of all the Germans and their allies that died in the war, 85%+ were killed by the Red Army.

In fact, had there been no Eastern Front, invasion of Europe would have been utterly beyond the capability of the western Allies.

We would still have won the war in 1945, but only by using nukes.

Given what we know about Vlad Putin and his predecessors it is *distinctly* possible,in my anything but humble opinion, that Uncle Joe disposed of Patton.I'd like to see details of the evidence that the filmmaker claims to have.

Absolutely possible.....but not proven at this point.

Patton was in the top 10, to be sure. But he seriously underestimated the power of the Red Army. 1945 was not 1941.

Just occurred to me...many,many revealing documents were discovered both in the USSR *and* East Germany after The Wall's collapse.I wonder what,if any, evidence supporting this claim might have been contained in those documents.Hard evidence *or* subtle hints.

Russia had 5 times the number of men under arms vs the Allies in Europe. Patton wouldn’t have walked over the Russians. Quite the opposite. Stalin was a psycho and Patton’s bosses were quite right to worry what Stalin might do whenever Patton famously shot is mouth off.

If we’d had nukes at that time it might have been a different story.

There was no need to assassinate Patton. Truman need only fire him as he did MacArthur years later.

Brad Metzler’s Decoded did an investigation into Patton’s death and came away with the conclusion that it was an accident. From what I saw on the show it seemed that way to me also.

Good film about how the Soviets under Stalin executed 22,000 Polish Army officers with a bullet in the back of the head in 1939.

What the movie does not show though is how Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin all conspired against the Poles to seize Poland and carve it for Stalin after the war.

Roosevelt and Churchill hid the murders from the U.S. and British people in order to keep the Soviets fighting against the Germans and silence the Poles in the U.S. and Britain, who would have been outraged.

George Washington, * , Anthony Wayne, Ulysses Simpson Grant, William Tecumseh Sherman, John J. Pershing, and several other notable Generals would like to have a word with you.

Patton was a great Corps commander, and a very good Army commander, when he kept his mouth shut.

* - Denotes a US Army General from the Revolution whose monuments do not bear his name.

“best combat general the US Army ever had!”

Well, I don’t know if I would call him the “best”, but he certainly is in the top 5% of operational level commanders for the entire period of US history.

However, this nonsense about the Russians assasinating him has been going around since 1945. It was nonsense then, and it still is today. The Russians just weren’t clever enough in 1945 to pull off such a feat. IF I were (which I do not) going to suscribe to a conspiracy theory....it would be about our own top brass offing him. However, that is nonsense as well.

FDR absolutely loved Stalin. It has long been suspected that Patton was assassinated, and that probably FDR gave the orders.

Of course, Patton was right. Stalin was just as evil as Hitler, and in fact murdered more people than Hitler.

But FDR was determined to give Eastern Europe to Stalin, his good Communist buddy.

I used to think the theory ridiculous.

Now nothing would surprise me. Leftists never think they've gone far enough.

We should be glad an incompetant fool like AH was in charge. Imagine if it was Erwin Rommel.
