The choir sang hallelujah as the congregation of 15,000 clapped and sang along. Reverend James Meeks ratcheted up the intensity of his speech.

The ‘Rats will try to take revenge on this brave man.
Right or wrong, is the congregation that easily swayed?
Are a American voters easily swayed?
“I would hope that I would get a chance to influence a lot of African-Americans to look at how we, as a voting bloc, [are] being taken for granted, Meeks says.”
A MASSIVE Break from the Plantation may have just begun!
If the Democrats ever lose their hold on the black community, it will cause a seismic shift in future elections. I have black friends who are conservative pro-life Christians..and yet they totally support Obama because of his race.
It’s maddening but the Republicans treat white evangelicals the same way!
“Is he just saying that the freebies haven’t been coming fast enough, or is he saying that Democratic policies are a failure? There is more than one way to interpret this.
It doesn’t matter. If the 12% of the US population that is Black voted 90% for the honest Socialist rather than the demonrats the demonrats would be out of power.
So it is a good thing either way
He speaks of the gun violence that plagues Chicagos West and South Sides, the poverty and the appearance that there is no end in sight. Our schools are still broken and getting worse. Were last in employment or business. Our neighborhoods are deplorable, says Meeks. And we still get the same promises from the Democratic party, but we dont get any deliverable. I think its time we should look at another candidate.
If Rev. Meeks really wants to shake up the system he should help form a Tea Party Chapter. There are better ways to live than waiting for Democrats to come up with new promises to break...
Nope. Rauner is a fake Republican and good buddy of Rahm’s. This is all a farce and smokescreen.
Of course there are, but the 95% or so vote still speaks for itself.
The problem is they're NOT at the top. At the top are corrupt democrat politicians, drug dealers, criminals and self appointed community leaders...
And they seem to have a disproportionate amount of influence.
I think he believes the Democrats have failed blacks in Illinois. Here’s hoping some of that will rub off on some other black preachers around the country who will take courage from Rev. Meeks’s stand.
the Minister may have again been taken in...I dunno
Naah, he’s in on the fraud. Illinois has two parties, and it isn’t GOP vs. Democrat, it’s Combiner (Insider) vs. anti-Combiner (Outsider). Combiners work with each other regardless of party label to sabotage outsiders. The Governor’s race is between 2 Combiners, but Rauner is already the designated “winner” for November (just as Mark Kirk was for Senator in 2010). What goes on in Illinois is world-class corruption, and most of the folks are either naïve about it or have no idea how to fight it. The Combine is how this country ended up with Zero.
Prayers slowly being answered. Thank You God!
Democrats feel money into the community - that gives them the power to pick the leaders. That said, they need to do better - and it looks to me like Rev Meeks might be working in that direction. They do need to take their community back - but not from us... we’re not there. They need to take their community back from democrats who play them for fools.
