Radical feminism is passé and in disarray. From pushing the wage gap myth to dismissing personal responsibility, our leftist sistas are clueless about true women’s rights.
How did birth control access become the only issue women care about? Who decided it was acceptable to destroy human life? More importantly, why should we look to big government policies to advance our gender?
Now, the feministas are going after Hollywood actresses.
In an interview for the May 2014 U.K. issue of Harper’s Bazaar, actress Kirsten Dunst defied the status quo and did the unthinkable: she came out against blurring gender differences!
"I feel like the feminine has been a little undervalued," she says. "We all have to get our own jobs and make our own money, but staying at home, nurturing, being the mother, cooking – it’s a valuable thing my mum created. And sometimes, you need your knight in shining armour. I’m sorry. You need a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman. That’s why relationships work…"
Unsurprisingly, these words weren’t well-received by radical feminists. Jezebel writer Erin Gloria Ryan penned a blog post titled “Kirsten Dunst Thinks Ladies In Relationships Should Wife the F*** Out” calling Dunst “dumb” for not subscribing to feminist group think:
“I'm not going to couch this much because Kirsten Dunst is not paid to write gender theory so it shouldn't surprise anyone that she's kind of dumb about it, just as I wouldn't be surprised if Gloria Steinem sucked at convincingly and heartbreakingly playing a mysterious oversexed teen who kills herself in a Sofia Coppola movie. So, you know.”
Uproxx’s Stacey Ritzen called Dunst an “insufferable person” for her refreshing comments on femininity.
Classy.
This behavior isn’t new. The female establishment has great disdain for dissent and independent views, specifically conservative and libertarian views.
Campus Reform reporter Katherine Timpf went to the National Young Feminist Leadership Conference (NYFLC) where she was met with hostility by “tolerant” and “inclusive” feminists:
“I thought this was supposed to be an inclusive thing, why am I being excluded because of where I work?” Timpf asked another organizer after another interruption.
“Because the place that you work is not inclusive,” the organizer responded.
“You don’t know that,” Timpf said. “You don’t know anything about me or my personal beliefs, I’m just being labeled and excluded based on a label.”
Last week, conservative radio talk show host Dana Loesch dedicated her April 5th Blaze TV program to debunking the mythical “war on women.” Dana brought on six panelists—me, my sister Anna Maria Hoffman, Ashe Schow, Ashley Sewell, Bethany Bowra, and Lauren Luxenburg—to discuss how young women can effectively combat paternalistic government. We discussed the importance of presenting alternative views on women’s issues—a discussion that women should have without retribution from the female establishment.
Unlike our leftist cohorts, conservative women don’t subscribe to groupthink nor do we cling onto victimhood to achieve our goals. Radical feminism in the present day has diminished female-kind to abortion-loving, anti-male, anti-choice creatures who must overcome the “struggle” caused by “patriarchy” pervading America.
Enough is enough!
Women want to make their own choices without the government or female alarmists bossing them around. Women want to pursue happiness, have careers, get married, have children—options that are afforded to them in this great country. Women want to protect themselves from harm’s way by taking up the Second Amendment and safeguarding the right-to-life, among many things. Most of all, women want to be liberated from the shackles of cradle-to-grave government dependency.
American Enterprise Institute’s Christina Hoff Summers perfectly sums this up as “freedom feminism”:
Freedom feminism is not at war with femininity or masculinity and it does not view men and women as opposing tribes. Theories of universal patriarchal oppression or the inherent evils of capitalism are not in its founding tablets. Nor are partisan litmus tests: It welcomes women and men from across the political spectrum. Put simply, freedom feminism affirms for women what it affirms for everyone: dignity, opportunity, and personal liberty.
Fellow females: don’t be subservient to big government. Don’t discount your worth and your talents. Don’t blame society for anything. Instead, be above victimhood.
Be bossy, ladies.

Couldn’t agree more. I was a bit of a feminist until I realized that the visible feminists weren’t for ALL women..........just Leftist women. Those feminists don’t respect all women’s choices......like wanting to stay home with your children.

I am big, fat bellied, hairy. Most of the time I smell of gasoline and gunpowder mixed with chewing tobacco and axle grease. My hands are rough, my skin is like leather and my toenails go every whicha way.
My wife is small, dainty... smells of flowers and poppurri mixed with baby kittens and scented candles. Her hands are small and soft, her skin is alabaster and delicate, it appears that pure love and spring sunshine radiate from her bossom.
She likes me rough and manly... I like her soft and smooth.
I fix her car for her in exchange for a beef stew. That is how we work together. So while I am outside banging, cutting and welding, she is inside making our house smell like heaven.
We like it that way.
Don’t you know you can’t use the word “bosses” since it implies “being ‘bossy’” as in “bossing” people around. I think the newest term is probably “leader”. Maybe as in “leading people around by the nose”. I don’t know anymore. I get so confused about what I can and can’t say. Oops. No I’m not. Free speech zone at my house. [IF momma approves that is.] :>} LOL!
So; that’s why my lovely wife keeps a multi-talented ape like me around and treats me so well.

Charles Krauthammer just today came out with an editorial that Democrats have become so closed-minded that they are becoming more and more reliant on speech totalitarianism.
That is, not just rejecting all other points of view, and shutting down all opposing speech, but attacking the people who say things that do not conform to their rigid mindview.
They want to hurt people who disagree with them. They want them fired from their jobs and blackballed. They want them considered insane and institutionalized, or at least put in prison. They do not even dismiss the death penalty for those who disagree with them in any way.
Think about that. If you disagree with them, they want you to be put to death. Executed or murdered. They accept both alternatives.
It is said that the most fanatical are those who doubt their own beliefs, so savagely attack others who also express doubt. But this is almost beyond fanaticism. It is a tantrum, a willingness to destroy the entire world because reality itself disagrees with your ideas.
Perhaps they figure that if they destroy everything then they will win. That annihilation will finally prove that they were always right about everything.
When I was 26 and pregnant with my first child, I had several older (35-55) women tell me I was too young, I needed to establish my career and life and finances.
I explained that I’d been married three years so who cared about life, working nearly ten years, and I was 26, not 16.
I was treated as if somehow betraying a feminist mystique by having a kid before I was 30.
The fact that I was the only female engineer in a work group for several years was utterly irrelevant to them. The irony was that the older ladies working in the repair shop and quality control were far more supportive, though old fashioned.
Though for many people, a Lars von Trier movie is like a root canal without anesthesia, his movie Melancholia, starring Kirsten Dunst, showcases her talent as an actress that many regard as Oscar-worthy. She can really act.
The reviews are completely polarized, with ratings of either “0” or “10”. But if you are in a very patient frame of mind, it is very worth it. As one reviewer noted, in 50 years, it will be the only movie from 2011 that is remembered.
I was going to make a joke, wondering if "beef stew" was the new code word and nobody bothered to inform me, which would explain a lot. But I'm going to take the high road and not do that.
Rather, the combination of car and beef stew makes me remember a time when my delicate bride got mad at me for no good reason, got in her car, threw it in reverse, and smashed full on into my car which was parked behind her. After I saw the damage, kissed her, and told her I still loved her, I drove off in my smashed up car. I came home to the smell of my favorite beef stew and asked her where she got the red wine. She told me she felt so bad about the fight and smashing my car she spent the day cleaning every nook and cranny of the house as a surprise and found "an old bottle someone stuck in the back of the top cupboard." I could only laugh as I thought about the $150 bottle of wine I'd stuck back there as a surprise. Good stew, though.
Cognitive dissonance on display. When facts challenge deeply held attitudes, it causes mental discomfort. The sane way of dealing with it is to change the attitude. You can also ignore or avoid the facts. What Krauthammer describes is yet another way of dealing with cognitive dissonance—denial. “... a willingness to destroy the entire world because reality itself disagrees with your ideas.”
You got me. This is a question I have long been asking.
When they talk about "women's health". They mean abortion. Nothing else. 90% of the time it is like women are perpetually impregnated uteri rolling about.
The other 10% we are men with breasts.
