Sebelius: Pressure after rollout was 'awful'

By Elise Viebeck

Outgoing Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said she was "flat-out wrong" to believe that HealthCare.gov was ready to go on Oct. 1, 2013.

Sebelius made the comment to NBC's Andrea Mitchell on "Meet the Press" in her first post-resignation interview. The secretary has only a handful of weeks left at HHS until her replacement is confirmed.

In candid remarks about the healthcare rollout, Sebelius said she regretted not asking different questions when HealthCare.gov was under construction.

"If I had a magic wand and could go back to mid-September and ask different questions based on what I know now," I would, she said. "I thought I was getting the best information from the best experts but clearly that didn't go well."

The former Kansas governor reportedly handed in her resignation to President Obama in early March, when the enrollment numbers on the exchanges began to rise.

Asked whether she was pushed out of the administration, Sebelius insisted the departure is her choice.

"I thought that at the end of open enrollment was a logical time to leave," though there is "never a good time," Sebelius said.

As the official in charge of the healthcare rollout, Sebelius was blamed for the massive technical problems with the federal enrollment website, and soon became the target of partisan attacks over the law itself.

She said Sunday that "clearly, the estimate that it was ready to go Oct. 1 was flat-out wrong."

"That was very alarming" when HealthCare.gov crashed for the first time, she said, "because that took some real diagnostics in terms of what the problems where and then analysis" about whether the system could be fixed.

Sebelius did not mince words when describing the pressure of last fall.

"It was awful. It was awful. But all you could do is say, 'We're going to fix it' [and] 'Hold me accountable.'"

Obama has nominated White House budget director Sylvia Burwell to replace Sebelius at HHS.

NSS.

Maybe Ted Cruz was right. Ya think? But nooooooooo...., let’s play the ‘Republicans are Obstructionists’ game instead. Losers of this administration and their kneepad-clad media would NEVER admit it.

So, if Sebelius was flat-out wrong,,does that mean those who said the rollout was going to be a disaster were actually right?

Why yes, I believe that’s the case.

Then, as Christians, we’d better start praying for her.

We’d better not find pleasure in that thought or we’ll be the ones ending up in that place.

Then, as Christians, we’d better start praying for her.

To be frank, there are a lot of other people that are in front of her on my prayer list. If you feel bad about the fact that Kathleen Sebelius is going to Hell, then feel free to spend 24 hours a day in prayer for her.

Unless she does a complete 180 (which is remotely possible) then she is going to go to Hell. Do you disagree with that FACT? Do people who support the murdering of unborn children have a special dispensation that allows them to avoid the eternal punishment that God has promised to those who are unrepentant sinners?

We shouldn't sugar coat the fact that there are a lot of people on that road. I think that anyone who has the attitude that she has about killing unborn children should not be surprised when they end up spending eternity with the likes of Adolf Hitler and Adolf Eichmann.

Kathleen Sebelius is objectively a very evil person. I see nothing in her life that would suggest that she is going to end up anywhere other than the fires of Hell.

She took up all that face time on "Meet the Depressed" with carefully-scripted words that were non-informative, non-illuminating, non-creative, non-interesting, empty, vacuous, self-serving and of no importance whatsoever.

Her TV interview was the final programmed act of her departure drama.....and was designed to soften her image and put a closing pleasant face on her abrupt leave-taking.

Everything is pre-planned and then acted out in the political big leagues, folks....and in this case, the media cooperated fully in providing Sibelius with immediate air time to close out her ObamaCare career with a sweet smile and plenty of high-oil rub to cover her failures.

She'll get another high-paying job in the U.S. government itself, or a government-subsidized foundation/organization/charity...or in government-subsidized academia......

.....and the media will be orgasmic that she's still "in service to her country"....and she'll get on the cooperative "Meet the Press" the very next Sunday...and her hands will be in our pockets on her very next payday.

Good afternoon lovely lady.

I have said this before, and will say it again, the U.S. government (0bama regime), is totally out of control.

I could be wrong, but methinks even the LIV see this.

Here’s the double edged sword that is OCare.
What happens to the ins. companies once OCare is repealed?

They are losing money as we speak. They probably cannot go back to offering the low-cost policies from before OCare was forced down everyone’s throat.

They (including Sebellius herself) are pretending it was all her, not the program.

No, there were MANY people involved including Obama himself of course.

Now that Sebellius is out of the way they will try to paint everything as hunky dory which it is NOT. They're trying to pave the way for success for Burwell.

Just putting out a warning to Sebelius and everyone else who promotes Abortion on Demand.

YOU ARE GOING TO HELL.

If you repent and turn from your sin and follow Christ, then you will not end up there but the road you are on leads to HELL.

If you disagree with that, then take it up with Jesus.

Based on everything I know about Kathleen Sebelius, she is on the road to Hell.

Do you think she is on the road that leads to life?

Or are you one of those guys who refuses to judge anyone?

You didn’t say “she is on the road to hell”. You said she is GOING to hell. Do you not believe in the possibility of repentance and redemption? In the future, be more precise with your language.

Semantics. You said she is GOING to hell. And you asked what kind of guy I am. I’m the kind of guy who rolls his eyes whenever someone says someone else is destined for hell. No one knows who is going to hell except for God Almighty himself. And no, I’m not defending Kathleen Sebelius. Her salvation (or lack thereof) is not my business. If I’m not mistaken, Jesus Christ told us to be more concerned about the plank in our own eye than the speck in someone elses (that would be Matthew 7:5).

But if you want to go around speculating about who among us is or is not going to hell, thats your prerogative.

Maybe you should follow that advice and quit being so concerned about my opinion about the destiny of Kathleen Sebelius. What do you care what I think?

You accused me of not having a Christian attitude. Maybe you should pull the plank out of your eye? I never challenged your Christianity, but you took the opportunity to challenge mine. Now who's judging who?

You asked what kind of person I am. I answered. And the last paragraph of my post specifically said “But if you want to go around speculating about who among us is or is not going to hell, thats your prerogative.”

So go ahead. Keep pronouncing who is and who is not going to hell. Maybe you can keep a list. In a notebook maybe.
