US angry with Israel's 'neutrality' over Ukrainian crisis
Middle East Monitor ^ | 13 April 14 | Staff

US officials expressed anger over Israel's policy of "non-interference" with the Russian annexation of the Crimea; Israel's Haaretz newspaper reported.

A US official told the paper that the White House was disappointed with Israel's absence from the UN General Assembly meeting two weeks ago to vote on condemning Russia's military invasion of the Crimea and call to maintain Ukraine's territorial integrity.

"We have been consulting closely on Ukraine not only with our partners and allies around the world. Obviously we are looking to the entire international community to condemn Russia's actions and to support Ukraine, so we were surprised to see that Israel did not join the large majority of countries that voted to support Ukraine's territorial integrity at the United Nations. Israel's justification that it did not attend the meeting due to the Foreign Ministry strike is unacceptable" said the senior US official.

The US official said that Washington is particularly angry with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman's failure to publically support the US position on the crisis.

According to Haaretz the US is especially disappointed with FM Lieberman who equated Israel's relations with the United States to its relations with Russia. Lieberman is reported to have told Channel 9 that Israel has "good and trusting relations with the Americans and the Russians, and our experience has been very positive with both sides". The official said "I do not understand this point of view, which calls for Israel to be dragged into this quagmire".

Wrong, Virginia! Out of the gate, hell, before Obama userped the White House, he was saying things about Israel that reporters refused to release to the public, because they knew beyond a doubt that he wouldn’t be elected dog catcher!

The very first meeting with Netanyahu, Obama treated him like dirt and shamed the United States. Nothing Obama has done since has been any better.

So according to you, Netanyahu is at fault? PHHHHHHTTTT!

Your choice of Obama over Netanyahu says a lot. Perhaps your theology or ethnicity has trumped whatever you think is your “conservative” perspective.

OBAMA is neutral about Israel’s very survival. What does he expect?

I don’t blame Israel. Helping Kerry and Obastard gets them nothing but the back of the hand for their efforts.

Tough sh*t for the US; Obama has long since p*ssed away any political capital he may once have had in Israel.

There's a lot of bad blood on both sides.

This is not a moral equivalency The "bad blood" we have today is the fault of the Muslims. They have reject peace offers, double crossed Israel and US, and broken past treaties like twigs.

I really have no idea as to your beliefs in the truth of scripture, but my world view comes through that lens.

"So the LORD gave Israel all the land he had sworn to give their ancestors, and they took possession of it and settled there."

Joshua 21:43

Netanyahu publically lectured the President of the United States about the 1967 borders.

Netanyahu was betrayed by Obama and set up, and he fought back for Israel and his people. The "1967 borders" issue is the same type of manufactured issue as the "right of return" and the very notion of "Palestinians" in the first place.

From God's perspective, there are no "1967" borders. There is no such thing as the "Palestinians" (they are primarily Jordanians and Syrians and they have their own "homeland") and they cannot return to a land that God did not give them.

The Creator of you and I, the King of the Universe, the One True God, the Alpha and the Omega - declared that these are the borders of His people Israel.

Genesis 15:18
Numbers 34:1-13
Deuteronomy 11:24

God also blesses those that bless Israel, and curses those who curse her.

Obama has acted demonically towards Israel. There is no doubt what he is doing. You speak of foreign aid - which is voted for by Congress in one single package, year after year - for every nation that receives foreign aid. That is the only way to get the entire foreign aid bill through Congress and the White House. It has been this way for decades. Obama was not able to reduce foreign aid to Israel (although I am certain he wanted to), but Obama DID increase aid to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas by BILLIONS through direct aid and dollars siphoned off from DoD and the State Department.

You defend evil, and you attack that which God defends.

Good luck to you.

Well said. There is an evil that is masked by attempts to look even-handed toward the Arabs who call themselves “Palestinians.” It becomes quite obvious when people start playing on what they think is moral equivalence. Obama isn’t right on anything, so this one should be a no-brainer.

It’s not like the US has been particularly supportive of Israels positions in the last 6 years.

Bwahahah, seriously, that has to be about the silliest post regarding Israel that I have ever read.

So let’s see, if I kick you in the head and turn around and ask you to beat up a bully for me, would you?

Nevermind, you have revealed yourself and with all the troubles in this world, you and your silly coward mean nothing to me.
