OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — Baltimore County police say a man is dead after FBI agents opened fire on the person in a busy shopping area in Owings Mills.
The agents confronted the man in an SUV late Friday afternoon on an access road near a Wal-Mart store and Sam’s Club near Reisterstown Road. Officials released little information about the incident and did not identify the man who died.

Few details released in fatal FBI shooting in Owings Mills

The FBI said Saturday three of its special agents were working with other law enforcement on a drug investigation when agents fatally shot a man Friday in Owings Mills, but declined to release key details about the circumstances of the incident.
In a statement, the FBI said the agents and other officers “encountered the subject who was in his vehicle” before fatally shooting him. The incident took place around 4:45 p.m. in the 9700 block of Reisterstown Road on an access road to a shopping complex that includes a Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club.
FBI spokeswoman Amy Thoreson said she could release no other information about the incident because it is under investigation. She had no timetable for when more information could be available. Baltimore County officials were expected to provide the identification of the man who was killed sometime Saturday.
Illuminating! Still more questions than answered. NO one on the scene or afterwards saying anything about the victim being armed, only attempting to flee the scene.
No explanation why it was the FBI on scene and the only group that fired a weapon (local county cop did not fire).
I’d say this was a shoot they don’t want a lot of publicity and kickback on.
My takeaway? Well, let’s just say our FBI today ain’t like your dad’s FBI.
I assure you the reports are being written up with an attorney’s assistance right now. It is after all, ‘ongoing’.
Yeah....rush hour on a side street......you’re right. We won’t ever find out exactly why, though.

Not sure how what the state laws are in Maryland but typically the Feds operate with the permission of the local Sherrif. Until answers are given it would be appropriated for the Sherrif to revoke their ability to enforce laws in his county.
Some of the bullet holes in the SUV would be consistent with a “burst” from a weapon fired on full automatic.
Something is strange about this story. The deceased individual’s family was “on the scene” and the SUV has New York plates? Were they passengers? Did someone call them?
Those bullet holes are all over the place.
Odd, given the proximity they likely were to the suspect.
No explanation? Gotta get their story straight to ensure it was a good kill.
He must have made the mistake of pulling a Rocky Road on them or juicy piece of licorice, which they mistook for?????

I count 11 bullet holes that are no where near the intended target and someone used “Automatic” fire, as you can clearly see their aim was low and they walked the barrel up to the target.
They flippin used automatic fire during rush hour and couldn’t keep a tight grouping at under 25 yards?
They ain’t FBI agents.

It sounds like he was with his family when a bunch of guys with guns and not wearing uniforms shot him to death in front of his family at the mall.

Authorities have identified the man who was fatally shot Friday by FBI agents in Owings Mills.
Jameel O. Harrison, 34, was killed during a drug investigation in which three FBI agents and officers from other law enforcement agencies encountered him in his vehicle, authorities said. The FBI has revealed few details in the case and an agency spokeswoman said no further information would be released today. http://www.baltimoresun.com
