Liberals are winning the language war

Are conservatives linguistically challenged? Or are they just naïve enough to think they can win the battle of ideas with — ideas?

Okay, and money.

Conservatives, like liberals, will spend huge amounts of money this year to get their ideas across to voters. But what they fail to do is bundle their thoughts into a bright, shiny linguistic package that explodes in the face of their enemies when opened.

The left has assembled a rich lexicon of phrases that serve either as stilettos that can be turned again and again in the guts of their opponents, or shields that obscure their true intentions.

The phrasing can be at best vicious, at worst dishonest. But conservatives should consider concocting some nasty comebacks, lest they continue to be perceived as Neanderthals battling forces of progress.

Did I just use the term “Neanderthal”? You immediately knew I couldn’t have meant liberals, because liberals are enlightened. They are Cro-Magnons, each and every one.

Now you see the problem.

Herewith, a list of the top liberal epithets and euphemisms. Let’s start with the former:

War on Women: When Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) noted a few weeks ago that Democrats, who accuse Republicans of waging a “war on women,” were strangely unappalled by President Bill Clinton’s “predatory” behavior, he was slyly undermining one of the worst charges lodged by Democrats.

Really? A war on women? This is blandly repeated by Democrats everywhere as accepted science. But how foolish. One supposedly hates women because . . .

America's youth have been hollywood brain-f#@$ed for 3 generations...with progressives control over media(not to mention the education system)trying to stop the indoctrination is going to be like taking a drug away from an addict at this point.

..hopefully the country won't turn into TOTAL sh#t...but like any malignancy that is ignored and not dealt with early/aggressively, it usually proves to be fatal.

The only thing progressives have going against them is that somewhere along the line these young-molded-minds-of-mush are going to have to face every progressives worse nightmare...reality.

...that's where Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" comes into play...it has become a very effective tool used by the left to twist the facts in order to neutralize their biggest enemy...that being...the truth.

For those of us old enough, it's easy to think this country took it's biggest turn into the toilet in the '60's...but the sewer system was built long before then.

Those who controlled the media in the early days learned of the power of suggestion to merely sell product, they then used it to get masses to embrace/support the war effort...with those successes under their belt they perfected and expanded their power of persuasion to change an entire culture to abandon traditional ways...and accept instead THEIR "worldly" point of view.

Evil...but effective.

Contemporary methods, yes...but nothing new in human history where power/corruption is concerned...the more important lesson to be learned...is that the serfs & suckers never seem to learn THEIR lesson.

...oh well.

Self privileging murderous gangstas of all ages who do not accept being pruned by better generations. Evil hates rights because they gave them up for a few silver privileges.

"And the dullards... use the “clicker” to see what time Lawrence Welk comes on."

7pm, Saturday on Channel 8/PBS. All because they don't want to watch another f'ing zombie movie, rap movie, or Fast & Furious Part 26 on HBO.

Yes and now that they are through with it they have thrown it away in favor of “progressive” which is being applied to those who have ideas that in reality are REgressive.

Indeed. Though that originally began long ago, during the early 20th Century. Also around the same time that some people started using "liberal" to mean "socialist".

Based on the non-polical dictionary definitions of the words, I'm a liberal progressive.

I wouldn’t watch those flicks either, but that’s not the point I was making.

According to some people, there are maybe a dozen or so decent members of Congress and the rest are all equal pieces of scum, an 80% (or in some cases 90%+) conservative is as bad as Bernie Sanders to them. Some fruit loop posted he's voting for McConnell's rat opponent. He's not alone in that sentiment.

Not to say I don't hate RINOs but there are degrees, situations, political realties. Pelosi and Reid would have 2/3s+ majorities if it were up to some of these people.

The country is no where close to being as conservative as it was in even 2000; this is the reality.

It’s not enough to recognize how the Lib/Progs control the lexicon; we need to do it ourselves. For starters:

Pro-choice >> Pro-death

Assault weapon >> Personal safety device

The creative people I know tend to be overwhelmingly conservative. Why we continue losing the language war is a puzzle to me.
