Finland Launches New Range of Erotic Gay Stamps
Breitbart London ^ | 4/15/2014 | ANDRE WALKER

Finland has launched a range of erotic gay stamps, featuring a man in police uniform sitting on the shoulders of a naked man, and another with a man looking in between some naked legs. The stamps are to commemorate the life and work of the artist Touko Laaksonen, more commonly known as Tom of Finland, reports Pink News.

The stamps, which will be available from the Autumn, are being launched by the Finnish Postal Service, Itella. In a statement they said: “His emphatically masculine homoerotic drawings have attained iconic status in their genre and had an influence on, for instance, pop culture and fashion.

"In his works, Tom of Finland utilized the self-irony and humor typical of subcultures. The drawings on the stamp sheet represent strong and confident male figures typical of their designer.”

Serious question: does CHI have a good public transportation system?

Not compared to NY but I guess it’s pretty good.

NICE!!!

That looks like the knife issued to the British Commandos in WWII.

That’s a nice blade. If it’s a liner lock type, though, just be careful with it. If the lock is on the spine (external), it’s better.

Liner lock types can close up on your hand and cut yourself.

British Commando knife was called the Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife.

It was a double-edged stilleto with skull-crusher pommel point, and was specially designed for slipping between ribs and not getting stuck. Razor-sharp, deadly dagger. I think our Rangers were issued them too (might be wrong).

Here it is:

Yeah, that’s a nasty little thug-sticker. Double-edged blade, so you can cut on a slash, swinging from either side.

There’s some fairly well-made replicas you can buy, but originals are through the roof as far as prices go.

My old man had one years ago; he was WWII Airborne, and probably got it from a British Airborne trooper. It got lost during one of our moves.

I have both a German Parade Knife and a German dagger from WW2; my father got them from his uncle (he fought in Europe).

Get them appraised, see what they’re worth.

Collectors love that stuff. Not that you’d sell it, but it’s nice to know the value.

I have a box full of things Dad brought back, a lot of personal effect-type stuff he took from German prisoners... or casualties.

“yeah... my reaction too.”

I feel the same about never finding my old man’s Ka-Bar. OTOH, he was most likely bombed off his ass when he told me, so I can’t say if it ever was actually in the house.

I would probably sell the stuff I have. I really don’t like having Nazi regalia in my home. IIRC, I think there are a couple pocket watches in that stash too.

If you (or anyone reading this) knows of a good appraiser, PM me.
