It works good for Democrats though.
Republicans get asked about it in interviews and they are scared to say that its not discrimination, so usually they respond ‘Yes it is a problem but...’

Ding! Ding! Ding!
Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
And THIS is the demonstrable problem of the Republican party! They don't want to be honest and have a complete debate, instead, they are trying to argue in the sound-bite era! The fact is, BS, lies and contrite talking points will ALWAYS sound better (because they are easier for a busy person to hear, take in and then repeat). But, the Republicans MUST start explaining things to the American people, like Reagan did, or they will continue to lose every major election!
The problem is NOT the message! Conservatism is ALWAYS the answer in fiscal and social matters - period! But, conservatism requires an explanation that is as bold as the problem! If your foundation has shifted and your house falling down, you don't stand outside arguing with the Democrats about what paint color will make it "look better"!
YOU NEED TO FIX THE DAMN FOUNDATION!
