Fox News toured the damage -- allegedly caused by the Bureau of Land Management -- which included holes in water tanks and destroyed water lines and fences. According to family friends, the bureau's hired "cowboys" also killed two prize bulls.

I’m still wondering if Bundy had any kind of controlled Genealogical breading program.

Well, they could put roadblocks on the roads and declare a no fly zone. Wait a minute...

I fear that in the end, Bundy will loose not only his cattle but his ranch as well. The BLM bastards, spurred on by Dirty Harry Reid will do what ever they can to reduce that rancher to dust.

I fear the same. They have been embarassed and forced to back down. THey will be aching for payback.

Prize bulls can be productive, even when not there in person.

Artificial insemination may not be as gratifying for the bull, but it produces a lot of calves. (Which makes the Bull worth multiples of what it would be worth if it had to do all the work in person).

Wanton destruction of facilities and livestock is serious business out this way. As for $200.00 per animal per day in damages, I think the BLM needs to show just what was damaged.

That's what i'm thinking.

Why have the prize bulls out on the open range rather than being pampered at home under a watchful eye?

The main lesson, hopefully not lost on the American people, was that many people traveled, in some instances 1000’s of miles, to stand up to armed BLM people. Americans stood up to a corrupt government. The fact that Bundy may be in violation of various court orders is irrelevant. The Boston Tea Party was illegal under British law.

That's more than half a billion dollars the feds say a rancher owes for disobeying their orders and allowing his cattle to graze on the King's land.

You have to put things in perspective... $640 million won't even buy you a functioning health care website these days.

From the info I've seen, if the tortoises were the pampered species, the BLM should be paying Bundy to have his cattle transport and distribute water and food out into the desert to serve the Turtles..

The Fed judge that signed this order needs to be brought to heel. When he signed this he knew it wasn’t right and it could blow up into a political hot potato. He wrote it as a permissive order for the BLM to carryout with the Sheriffs help. Given contracts, Federal land, and asset forfeiture it would have been the U.S. Marshall’s Service to service and enforce. But, the judge did not want the court to be involved and therefore gave it to BLM so it would no be seen as a court action. This is telling and this judge should be questioned. Federal judges are political beast. Was he compromised by Dingy Harry? What other similar orders did he sign in the past? Did Harry push his confirmation to the Federal bench through?

It doesn't matter - if he loses the range, he loses the ranch anyway. That ranch is useless without the range land... Which is why he's been fighting for twenty years.

$1.50 per month per AUM (animal unit monthly, a mother and her calf) is the grazing fee. 900 cattle. Lets do some math. $1350 a month for all his cattle. 12 months a year = $16,200 a year. Now 20 Years. $324,000.

How is $324,000 even close to 1million. How would it be feasible to say there are over $676,000. In late fees, and other things?

Plus he said BLM vehicles appear to have crushed a tortoise burrow near the damaged water tank. "How's that conservation?" he asked. Oops.
