Netanyahu calls Putin, takes neutral stance on Ukraine

Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu initiated a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday to discuss bilateral issues, Iran and Ukraine, the Kremlin said in a statement.

...

Netanyahu does speak to Putin by phone from time to time, so Tuesday night's conversation - though not a regular occurence - is by no means unprecedented.

Russia is a major player in three areas of major concern to Israel: Iran, Syria and arms sales to the Middle East.

...

On Monday, US State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki denied a Haaretz report last week...

Again, therein lies the rub: The Arab Spring was indeed a disaster for Israel. It is outrageous how things have turned out for Israel. They had better ties with Egypt under Mubarak than they do now, as they endured a Muslim Brotherhood gov't that treated Christians, secular Muslims and others in Egypt with contempt and outlandish laws directed at them. After that regime was toppled, Kerry said that the Muslim Brotherhood's ouster was a return of Democracy to Egypt. Now Egyptians - feeling betrayed by DC after DC characterized the Muslim Brotherhood as "largely secular" and what went on within Egypt for two years - are closer to Russia now that the U.S.

Secondly, Assad, a monster of a plutocrat, like Mubarak, was and would have been closer to Israel than radical Syrian rebels would be if they took over after a Obama-bombing of Syria with US aircraft.

And Iran - what a bang-up job Keery is doing there. /sarc. You know that Israel loves that! /more sarcasm.

Israel - over which God watches and does not slumber or sleep concerning them - is apparently getting closer to Russia now. Given Valerie Jarret and Obama, can anyone wonder why?

And irony of all ironies that after Israel was tossed under the bus by Obama big time, now we have RINOs - doing whatever it takes to get the US involved in this mess or agitate for Obama.

And yet some here just ignore Israel being screwed over and tossed under the bus, and do everything they can to make this about US pride being on the line, or something else when what they are doing is actually trying to save face for Obama’s messes. RINOS!

Bibi has walked the walk, so Putin likely has a great deal of respect for him.

Much more so than President Mom Jeans, the GOD-KING of the Gay US Media.

The problem is that the US state department is trying to fomet change in countries without considering the ramifications. The US does not have the power like it did during Bush to control the outcomes of these revolutions. Thus they almost always backfire.

The Russians and Chinese fear that we will be coming for them next. The Chinese are going to move next, this time on the Spartley’s and Sennikku islands.

I wouldn’t say they so much worship Obama as they worship the idea of an omnipotent America. Unfortunately America is a long way from omnipotent and rather weak at this point.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Do they not understand this?

Ominpotence belongs only to God -— and He neither slumbers nor sleeps concerning Israel.

“Pray ye for the peace of Jerusalem.”

Indeed...

I still think that some of this comes from RINOS being closer to Obama than they are conservatives - who know that NATO is a defensive charter, that Ukraine is not a NATO member, and that the Arab Spring (produced partially by NATO) was a disaster.

My first thought too, that Putin probably respects the Israeli leader.

This is a very clear indication that Israel cannot depend on US leadership.

There certainly is a little flock of ladies in waiting attending his policy needs here. Neocons in drag, and a couple of ethnic troglodytes.

Oh, but some here will engage in a form of race-baiting and will say that the word “neocon” always means Jew - when it doesn’t.

Some RINOs - who aren’t Jewish by any stretch of the imgination - have been called neocons.

Liberals apply the word neocon to those who desire humanitarian foreign inteventionism, but don’t also adhere to liberal policy on social issues.

Putin and Bibi both understand each other. While Israel and Russia are adversaries, both men respect each other even though they disagree. Obama (liberals) will never understand that standing your ground and doing what you say, most of the time, avoids problems down the line. Clinton ignored radical muslims in the 90’s and 911 happened. George W. confronted these islamic terrorists and punished them for 911. I pray that obama’s lack of a back bone doesn’t cause something worse.

Israel is a small country in a very bad neighborhood. It needs partners it can look to when pursuing its own interests, and the stronger they are the better. The United States government under Obama has shown itself to be untrustworthy, diplomatically weak, and likely to use its strength foolishly.

It is therefore legitimate for Israel to explore bilateral relations elsewhere, with Russia, or any other nation it chooses.

I would add a couple of things. Obummer and Lurch have gone out of their way to alienate Israel, as they have with so many allies. Plus, a lot of Jews still live in Russia and Ukraine and he wants to see they are protected.

Israelis are not the only ones feeling betrayed by D.C.
