Rep. Colleen Hanabusa (D-HI) says her constituents are "frustrated and embarrassed" by Hawaii's failed Obamacare exchange, which cost taxpayers $204 million and signed up only 8,000 people.
On Wednesday, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) announced it will launch an investigation into Hawaii's busted Obamacare program.
"This is not a partisan issue, this is an economic issue," said state Sen. Sam Slom.
Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie previously predicted "hundreds of thousand of people" would sign up for Obamacare in the President's home state.
On Thursday, President Barack Obama tried to rally Democrats to support his unpopular Obamacare program.
"I think Democrats should forcefully defend and be proud of [Obamacare]... We should not be defensive about it," said Obama....

Right now, the IRS is getting a real good idea how dismal a reception obamacare is getting by individual filers. Today zero said it’s up to seven mill. Here’s the translation: it’s a complete disaster by any sensible metric.
The only thing voters have to be “embarrassed” about is the trash they elect to office.
Heck, that’s only about 10X as much as it would have taken to just GIVE those 8,000 people an insurance policy.

Colleen Hanabusa is a total joke . One of the most useless people ever to be elected by any State to the U.S. Congress . Now she is dissatisfied with her Representative status and wants to be one of Hawaii’s Senators . Having done NOTHING to earn either .Literally nothing . She’s just the Democrat du jour . However here’s the rub ; When Sen. Dan Inoyue died , former shameless anti-Vietnam war protester and now Governor Neil Abercrombie appointed his on Lt Gov , little Brian Schatz to be the replacement Senator until one could be elected . He too has done absolutely nothing significant in office but of course he is running to be elected to the job permanently . Hanabusa sees it as rightfully HER job and wants it badly . However even though Hanabusa has always been a loyal Obama shoe licker , in every possible regard , Obama has now come out in support of the new little usurper , Brian Schatz ,for U.S. Senator despite Hanabusa’s long support . Why did her do that? Because he owes Neil Abercrombie something , as an old ‘friend’ of Obama’s supposed father and mother . In the old days commies were few and far between in Hawaii and they stuck together lies flies to feces . If anything this shows that Obama’s loyalties to his old commie base is stronger than than his allegiance to his more recent Democrat base , no matter how loyal they have been . This will cost him . here is a major behind the scenes war among Hawaii Dems and their now divided loyalties . This is great ! Except for one thing ....The Hawaii Republican Party is also so inept and fractured that it will fail to do anything to capitalize on such a great opportunity . They can’t even find worthwhile candidates to oppose the Dems , no matter what shape they are in . Very sad .
Good to see Charles Djou is polling well with major name recognition. This may turn out well at least for him.

personally , I will never forget how Charles Djou pulled so hard for the repeal of DADT . His first official vote as a Congressman was to vote to bring it to a vote and then when it did come to a House vote he led all other R’s in voting for repeal . He voted consistently with Mazie Hirono , another utterly useless Congressional seat occupier . Repeatedly complaints and appeals to Djou to not take these positions were ignored or weak rebuffs and shoddy explanations issued . He’s a joke , a total pansy .

If they could accomplish the stated goals at 1/4th the cost,
and without the negative consequences,
then, QED, the negative consequences WERE THE REAL GOAL.
