Cruz More Than Doubles Fundraising in 2014's First Three Months

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz has more than doubled his fundraising efforts in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2013, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Cruz, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, raised $887,344 in the year's first three months while he only took in $363,760 during the same period in 2013 when he first arrived in the U.S. Senate as a tea party favorite set on changing the ways established GOP members work in Washington.

The senator, who is in the midst of paying visits to the early presidential caucus and primary states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, has amassed $2 million for a possible run for the White House with still more than two years to go before the election, according to the Chronicle.

Jason Johnson, Cruz’s chief strategist, said the senator’s mission to make Washington listen "would not be possible without the support and generous contributions from thousands of Texans and Americans who are joining us in the fight to turn our country around."

Johnson added, "Their giving is critical to furthering the conservative movement and electing more conservatives in 2014."

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

He gets the maximum I can donate the day he declares his Presidential Candidacy for 2016. Maybe even more than that.

Anyone who cares what they say about donors, true or not, will lose.

It’s the Clinton’s. back with a vengeance. Running by their rules ( dems get to do anything including getting a grandchild out of thin air- and repubs have to stick to written rules) will lose

Ted’s on the ground everywhere, revving up his base and inspiring the GOTVers while the others are yapping at the camera, secure that the GOPe will buy them votes later on.

I believe Ted Cruz can be president.
Even if he has to start a new party.

I believe Ted Cruz could win in a three way election.
Just saying for the record.
He has abilities.
