ack in 2007, Sean Diddy Combs teamed with Jay Z and 50 Cent to create a song titled I Get Money: Forbes 1-2-3 Billion Dollar Remix. Less than a decade later, rappers are closing in on ten-figure fortunes, and hes the nearest of the bunch.

Someone tell me how racist this nation is again. I'd love to laugh in their face.
A “Few” people are consuming this bilge.
And some wonder why society is in the toilet.
It pays well to sit around complaining about how dark skin holds you back in America. :)
Let’s compare, shall we?
According to celebritynetworth.com:
Rush Limbaugh is worth $370,000,000.
Dick Cheney is worth $90,000,000.
Sean Hannity is worth $35,000,000.
Sarah Palin is worth $12,000,000.
Newt Gingrich is worth $7,000,000.
A million dollars is a lot of money...but in my opinion, any ONE of the people above are worth more than all five of the Forbes Five Thugs combined.
If “gangstaz” were the sole consumers of this “music”, there wouldn’t be any money in it. Without the white buyers (in this and other countries; this includes concerts, which always make the “artists” more money than the records do), the genre would be underground, in a literal sense.
“I blame it as the number one cause of most of whats wrong with America the past 25 years.”
I’ve pretty much gone with the flow in the music industry: metal, new wave, old wave, etc. But I could never relate to rap, still can’t.
No understatement there. Pop "music" is the very tip of the spear of the cultural attack by the Left.
Maybe that’s why that other “rapper” named Johnson cut off his own penis and jumped off a building a few days ago...
...he found out he wasn’t on “the list”.
Blame white record execs.....producing rap music is cheap, and highly profitable.....You actually have to pay for real musicians.
Capitalism works. Always made me wonder about those that cry about it not working. It is the best system in the World. Not many places in the World where you can become a multi-millionaire with a high school diploma or even less.
The media blitz of the last few years have produced an egalitarian-(trash!)-mind set.
The problem is that now rap has poisoned pop music.
Nothing worse than hearing a song on the radio, that starts out pretty good, only to have some rap part in the middle.
Performance by the untalented for an audience of the uncivilized.
That doesn't count, does it?
Fat fingers and spell check are the cause.
How about parents who let their kids listen to this crap and not at least insist they don’t play it in the home. I tell my kids at every opportunity that this is crap and it will rot your brain. They actually listen to me.
Parents have given up any responsibility for raising their kids. That’s where the blame lies for most of what is wrong in this country. PARENTS.
Maybe because “rap” isn’t actually music?
How much would these guys be worth if there were no food stamps and welfare pouring in to the “hood?”
Yep, everything you've read is correct, the astonishing skininess, the bow tie hanging from a too-big collar, the squealing teenie girls, the great voice emanating from such a thin frame.
Just LISTENING to him today is the perfect way for me to concentrate on the voice.....and to appreciate his natural talent and melodious style.
What an almost-perfect singing voice for the marvelous songs written during the decades of his era....."Begin the Beguine"....."Stardust"....."Chicago (That Toddlin' Town)"....."Blue Moon"....."It Had To Be You".....and my favorite, "Yours is My Heart Alone".
I hardly know the names of today's singers and rappers, and the ones I know about I wouldn't pay two cents to hear them or see them "entertain" in a "concert".
My favorite word in the title is “Artists”. Thuggery set to rhyme is now raised to an art form. We are doomed.
