[Israeli] FM chides EU foreign policy chief for finding "real dangers to world peace" after she calls on Israel to reverse recent steps in West Bank, east Jerusalem that she says are "not conducive" to climate needed for peace.

Foreign Minister Avigodor Liberman chided EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton on Friday for finding the "real dangers to world peace" after she issued a statement calling on Israel to backtrack on measures taken against the Palestinians.

Liberman criticized the top EU diplomat for calling on Israel to reverse recent decisions made in regard to the West Bank and east Jerusalem, insinuating that she should concentrate on what he indicated were a multitude of more pressing issues.

[SNIP]

Liberman on Facebook sarcastically charged that "it was lucky that the European Union knows how to diagnose critical problems in the world and take care of them quickly and decisively."

EU follows in the footsteps of the WH. Interesting that the statement is issued a day after the Geneva meeting on Ukraine. Probably just a coincidence but I can’t help wonder if this is the (very light) price EU had to pay for getting the US to follow its lead to go softly on the Ukraine/Russia issue.

Sorry! Liberman does not use [</s>] sign in his face-book posts.

Remember back in 2009 when Obama said he was “extraordinarily impressed by” European leadership? Brussels is never led by the White House, especially with this fellow in the WH.

I really should have remembered this but didn’t. Thanks for reminding me. European leadership! What an oxymoron! But coming from this WH, what else to expect.

You are probably right. Here are two tiny pieces of information that could indicate the same thing.

1) I heard that the Swedish Defence Language Institute just had started training in French. (Previously Russian and Arabic were the two main languages. Sweden is a member of EU.)

2) From the blog Diplomad 2.0 we find this in a leaked (unclassified) document from the State Department: "FSI has developed Urdu ALERT – and is creating a French ALERT course (for HTPs in Francophone Africa) to begin this summer."

Tentative conclusion: If we aren't there already we are ("all of us") on our way to the former French colonies in central Africa to help the French. Isn't that nice.

PS: The Diplomad post is intersting in its own right. A good blog to follow.

How dare anyone stand up to psychopaths and murderers? We want peace. So, don’t resist. Just die. Then we will have “peace”.

Cowards. Right now we are having a replay of some aspects of Vietnam. Once the evil is fought to a standstill the liberals take over and then abandon our erstwhile allies to death and disaster. Watch the human disaster in the Middle East and Eastern Europe while cowardly left wingers wring their hands in consternation and then blame others for their own malfeasance. Millions of Southeastern Asian corpses soon to be joined by more of those abandoned by the laft.

Lady Ashton: Times have changed
The mobs are getting worse
They won't obey policemen
They just toss firebombs and rocks

Austria: Should we blame immigration?

France: Or blame society?

Netherlands/Germany/Czechs: Or should we blame our own pusilanimity?

Lady Ashton: No, blame Israel!

EVERYONE: Blame Israel!

Lady Ashton: With all their beanies, Jewish noses
And thinking heads so full of lies

EVERYONE: Blame Israel! Blame Israel!

Lady Ashton: We need to form a full assault

EVERYONE: It's Israel's fault!

Hungary: Don't blame me for my neo-Nazi groups
We saw it's all the Jooos!'s faults, or Zionists, or their many dupes

Britain: And my isle was once a fortress, full proof against invasion
But now we've invited our despoilers in and called in immigration.

Lady Ashton: Well, blame Israel!

EVERYONE: Blame Israel!

Lady Ashton: It seems that everything's gone wrong
Since Israel came along

EVERYONE: Blame Israel!
Blame Israel!

Coffee Shop Intellectual: They're not even a real country anyway

Germany: Our sons could've been doctors or lawyers rich and true
Instead they're not getting born much, 'cause of guilt trips caused by Jooos!

EVERYONE: Should we blame history?
Should we blame the wars?
Or the Muslim rioters, or our open doors?

Lady Ashton: Heck, no!

EVERYONE: Blame Israel! Blame Israel!

Lady Ashton: With all their conspiring, sneaky Jooos!

Germany: And that bitch Caroline Glick, too

EVERYONE: Blame Israel! Shame on Israel for...
The butt we must suck
The laws we must pass
The building and growth must all be undone
We must blame them and cause a fuss
Before somebody thinks of blaming us!
