Rep. Young blasts regulatory sprawl during Fairbanks visit ( Alaska )

Rep. Don Young took aim at a frequent target on Friday, blasting federal regulatory sprawl that he said endangered economic growth and the Alaskan way of life.

Young spoke during a luncheon with the Associated General Contractors of Alaska in Fairbanks, and directed most of his fiery comments toward the growing profile of federal agencies. He said they’ve passed 13,883 new regulations in the past four years, compared to 628 new bills that made it through Congress.

“We’re no longer a free nation,” Young said. “We’re a nation of regulatory law.”

Young said President Obama’s philosophies aim to make the U.S. a “third-rate nation,” bound by wealth distribution and rule-making by unelected bureaucrats.

Freepers think Donny Young is a crook or worse, Alaskans just luv him to death and hope when he kicks, one of his half breed girls will run in his place; don is AOK with Alaskans, big time 2nd amendment guy and he stands up more than anybody to the FEDs. There is a reason why he has been re-elected time and time again. The Indians, Whites, Rural Folks, everybody trusts Donny Young. I call Murkowski's & Begich's office and bitch all the time; never have to even think about calling Don Young's office; I know he thinks just like I do.

Don Young even wanted to kick out all the blm, park people and hire local Indians to patrol fed lands on the Yukon. Indians wouldn't bother anybody and the fed storm troopers would be history. I'd much rather have the local Indians administering the raw land than the dem political wonks from D.C. All they want to do is kiss the wolves and run the rural people off the land. It happens in ALaska also.

Obamacare is largely a bureaucratic tangle, such as he’s referring to.

Many parts of Obamacare refer to regulations to be issued by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Regulations which were not yet in place, at the time of Obamacare passing.

And we hear so much about how Obama is using the EPA to shut down coal fired power plants, how the EPA is issuing regulations which cause these plants to be out of compliance with new regulations.

We have heard Obama say he has a pen and a phone. He is working through bureaucracy to achieve liberal goals as much as he is able to.

Can't argue with that. 41 years in the House is too long. Begich & Lil Lisa are execrable, the only reason they make Young look better, but all 3 need to hit the bricks.
