And exactly how much CO2 needs to be stored underground to prevent any more warming? What temperatures would they consider as “normal”?

This is what you can carry the argument to with these idiots.

Seeing as the amount of CO2 that man creates, as a percent of effective greenhouse gases is about 0.117% - I’m guessing we shouldn’t worry too much about it.

So most believe in global warming but do not see it as a serious threat. Are they still ‘deniers’?

Demi-deniers, perhaps?

It is a pity for certain. Corn is a mainstay for consumption by people and animals to keep hunger away. Yes, I believe Jr. Johnson, of NASCAR, has the truth of the matter where he said, ‘Corn is good for two things; Drinking and eating.’ Besides who wants to drive a drunk car?

So two out of three think something they cannot define and aren’t really certain about will occur in their lifetimes? Of course it will. Something (undefined) will always happen.

Once they have authority to store CO2/ underground they have control of more of the food chain and oxygen levels. No win (imho) for animals or humans.

“However, these differences are not entirely a function of seniors’ recognition of their advanced age, as those 65 and older are also most skeptical that the effects of global warming have already begun.”

Good. Now when the GOP takes over they need to have no excuses to not to cut all the magic unicorn subsidies for toy cars and ugly glass panels on people’s roofs and lift the ban on normal light bulbs and abolish every other damn earth-worshipper mandate that is sucking the life out of our economy.

“This is what you can carry the argument to with these idiots.”

I just ask them what their backout plan is if they cool the earth too much. They cannot answer it. Usually at that point I am called a racist.

The article has a breakdown of views by party affiliation and of course they are diametrically opposed. To be honest I don’t follow the science super closely because to me the issue is almost totally explained in the realm of ideology. Leftists love global warming because it gives an excuse to empower government, control business, and redistribute wealth. Plus it provides a massive crisis around which people can be rallied to collectively action. Leftists crave that feeling of unity of purpose. Global warming fits all the leftist receptor cites so perfectly that if it didn’t exist, they would have had to invent it, and so they have.

IF we had passed Cap and Trade 17 years ago, this year’s cold winter would have been used as “proof” C&T has stopped global warming.

It’s almost May and I have the freaking heat on.

I have ridden only *twice* this “spring” and neither day was especially warm...I was just desperate.
