Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) fought back against speculation that Democrats would lose seats in a midterm election that would be a referendum against President Obama, but she said each race must be run in a way that best benefits the candidate.
Speaking on NBC's "Meet the Press," the Democratic National Committee chairman said Republicans are fighting among themselves, giving Democrats an opening to grab more seats.
"Republicans are mired in a civil war where the tea party has won, and they are consistently nominating the most extreme candidates," she said. "And we're on offense in states as well. So you've got Georgia, and Kentucky, and even Mississippi, where we have a very good chance to pick up those seats."

I can only hope that this wasserman fool is smoking something or off her meds.
John Boehner’s Boss speaks
...and just like the last civil war, mayo-hair Debbie, the result will be the same: Democrats will be defeated. Big Time.
I think that the REAL REPUBLICANS are now started to stand and speak. Not a civil war...
HELLO GOP , The Demonuts are not here to HELP YOU
The solution is simple; the GOP wing of the Democrat party makes it official.
Keep dreaming about Georgia, Debbie.
Maybe rainbow skittles will fall out of your butt.
She’s doing everything possible to foment this “civil war” or make us think there is one. Don’t fall for it. Criticize Boehner when he’s wrong - which, alas, is much of the time - but be positive when he’s right and work to move non-conservative GOP pols more to the right through a combination of persuasion, working for preferred candidates and getting out the vote.
But don’t let the Dems foment discouragement and self-destruction among the GOP; where it already exists, don’t let them increase it. We can’t afford to lose any elections this time around, and ANY GOPer is better than ANY Dem or at least will be more responsive to pressure. Well, maybe except for McCain...
The primaries are the time to send the GOP a message,
after that it’s time to get behind whoever is a
candidate, and that goes for the GOPe too, They
had better support those conservatives who make it
into the race, just as they would their own, or there
will be a civil war on in the party.
It is the Feds that are becoming mired, in their own war, against the very legal inhabitants of this country.
Their concern for the Republican party is touching.
Wishful thinking, but I hope the Dems keep it up!
the result will be the same: Democrats will be defeated. Big Time.
We definitely thought the same thing in 2008 and 2012. Now I believe we will win in 2014, but I am not as confident in 2016 especially if Hillary is the candidate...that will be another shiny penny and the Democrats will turn out in droves like they did in 2008.
She’s doing her job. Saying “Wes, we will lose.” would cause fundraising to dry up, causing them to lose even more seats.
Wes=Yes
“Extreme” would be Sheila Jackson Lee or Maxine Waters. The GOPe isn’t a threat to democrats, but the constitution is.
