About 8 million people have signed up for Year 1 of Obamacare, but millions of others are still falling into the law's "coverage gap."
They earn too much money to qualify for Medicaid, yet don't make enough to get federal subsidies to buy private insurance on an Affordable Care Act exchange.
The human toll of the coverage gap can be found all too easily in Hidalgo County, Texas, where less than half of non-senior adults had health insurance in 2012.
"If Obama did this market so we can get affordable insurance, why are we still having a lot of problems? What's going on?" asked Anna Covacevich, a 57-year-old home care provider and Hidalgo County resident who made $8,000 last year. . .

Of yer fake 8 million who signed up for ObamaCare®, maybe 1.5 million paid for it.
Out of those 70% have preconditions that couldn’t be covered in the “Real Marketplace”
I’m uh gonna guess 30% of those will outright drop their coverage due to higher deductible, more out of pocket for meds and just because of the cost.
Not to mention the lack of facilities and doctors participating in this idiotic scam, scheme....flim flam muh man.....
They should be thanking God they don’t have to be forced into giving away all their personal information to the government and then being forced into a crappy plan! This is by far the worst government plan ever concocted in America I cannot believe we have so many people who will stand for it.
“...The human toll of the coverage gap can be found all too easily in Hidalgo County, Texas, where less than half of non-senior adults had health insurance in 2012....”
And - just as a curiosity - how many of those were ILLEGAL ALIENS?
Just in case you idiots in CNN cannot read, that’s ILLEGAL ALIENS.
ILLEGAL ALIENS!!
Obama doesn't care if you live or die Anna, he just wants power. You could almost feel bad for these people if they were not dragging us down the sewer with them.
I was under the impression the the ACA was supposed to be affordable, even says so in the name of the law: Affordable Care Act...
So, why is there a need for subsidies?
Yet another lie from the most corrupt administration.
I would not be surprised to find that the number of enrollees is half of what the administration claims.
