MDC professor beaten — was it a ‘hit’ over a grade? [Head bashed in concrete; sound familiar?]

...police continue to investigate a brutal attack against music professor Marc Magellan. The professor appears to have been specifically targeted, and it was not a robbery — none of his personal items were taken.

As Magellan was leaving campus last week, a man called out “Professor Marc,”...When Magellan turned around, he was sucker-punched in the face.

That unexpected blow knocked Magellan, 31, to the ground of the campus parking garage. From there, the attacker continued beating the professor “unmercifully,” according to police. At one point, Magellan says, the assailant “was powerfully punching the side of my head against the concrete floor of the garage.”

The professor’s injuries included a broken nose, broken hand, and other injuries to his head, face, arms, knees and feet.

Just standard knockout game that liberals say doesn’t exist.

The prof is still alive, though he could easily be at the morgue this morning...notice he apparently did NOT have a gun to protect himself.

I’d be asking about his personal relationships with students....and if he gone over the line with any of them. Someone going to this distance on the beating...isn’t done about lousy grades. It’s something pretty intense and personal.

Notice also the description of the attack. Brutal! But with Zimmerman it could be described as anything but brutal.

No different than ANY attacks by sons of obama lately. They do it because they can.

This isn’t as likely to happen to the thermodynamics or physics professors.

What? No “[possibly] an aspiring rapper turning his life around” phrases?

By being a privileged professor he is causing the perp to beat him. When will the professor learn that he is causing this and give all his wealth to the underprivileged and unlucky? To not do so would be mean-spirited.

Definitely a severe “attitude adjustment” was administered. If the professor was a liberal against gun rights and concealed carry, I think he might be leaning the other way after this. May he have a speedy recovery from this experience.

When life counts, a .45 is two digits shorter than 911.

I believe it's referred to as "just a little whoopass" by the practicioners.

Maybe so but I remember a Stanford professor being beaten to death with a hammer over a thesis issue...Ted Streleski was the miscreant who did this and that was in 1978

“I believe it’s referred to as “just a little whoopass” by the practicioners.”

Actually, the concrete part is optional in a “whoopass” situation if both participants play by the rules.

Of course if one of the participants does not want to play by the rules, then a .45 is a great “equalizer”. :)

Not making the grades to keep scholarships or to remain on a sports team could be intense and personal, too.

Magellan ... teaches a variety of music courses at MDC, including ... popular music in America

I think the first place to start looking for the thug who hired the thug is some aspiring rapper he just flunked.

Would that be considered raysiss?
