The establishment strikes back in U.S. House race
kinston.com ^ | 4/22/14 | Wes Wolfe

Posted on 04/22/2014 7:45:15 AM PDT by cotton1706

It started Dec. 3, 2012.

Roll Call’s Jonathan Strong reported that afternoon of a move made by Speaker of the House John Boehner in reining in his caucus and giving notice to House Republicans who had a tendency to go their own way that he wasn’t playing around.

So, U.S. Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C., found himself no longer on the House Financial Services Committee, along with U.S. Rep. David Schweikert, R-Ariz. And the House Budget Committee no longer had seats for U.S. Reps. Justin Amash, R-Mich., or Tim Huelskamp, R-Kansas.

Jones hadn’t been a favorite in a number of circles for taking positions against military intervention and spending abroad – his about-face on the Iraq war garnered plenty of attention – and drew the ire of banking interests when he advocated tougher regulations following the economic collapse that led to the last recession.

This year, Jones faces what may be the toughest primary election in years by squaring off with Taylor Griffin, a former aide to President George W. Bush who worked in the Treasury Department before returning to North Carolina and making his home in New Bern. He grew up in Wilson County and started his career by working for U.S. Sen. Jesse Helms, and has become a candidate with whom establishment Republicans feel more comfortable.

As Eliana Johnson wrote for National Review on April 10, the Jones-Griffin race is a break from the usual.

“The race doesn’t hew to the traditional narrative of the past five years, of a tea-party challenger attacking an incumbent for his coziness with the Washington establishment. Jones is instead being attacked for veering too far from the Republican mainstream,” Johnson wrote.

cotton1706:" Speaker of the House John Boehner in reining in his caucus and giving notice to House Republicans

So Boner can get it up when it comes to other Republicans
and only then can he find some backbone.
It's too bad that he couldn't find the same backbone when it comes to dealing with the administration.
It seems he is plannning for his future, in that he has recently bought retirment property in Florida, but maybe that is his "fall-back" position .

There are bunch of state partys doing the same thing, Illinois,Nevada, have done so already after their primaries were held. GOPES Are bouncing conservatives in slating positions who would support candidates on what is termed “social issues”; opposed to open border immigration, open marriage, and abortion are being bounced.

In states where that has occured the bouncers must be bounced. Particularly in districts where there is that opportunity. But polling should show disinterest in the two major candiidates before any new candidate is introduced. Otherwise don’t do it.

The “establshment” whom I call GOPES seem to really want to see Zero care “fixed”, are nothing more than what the late Col Robert McCormick of the Chicago Tribune would call “Me Too Republicans”. They offer little or no difference between the socialists and themselves which is socialist lite. And will wind up on the losing end as well as US. Because what they’re doing is pushing a 3rd party movement . Which will eventually result. But not at this point. Because if that happens nationally the socialist/communists will wind up retaining their offices, and that is what the GOPES are counting on. You voting for their lousey candidate instead of the God less one.

People who are serious about their criticism of bank bailouts had better put their wallets where their mouth has been. Here’s a person who has been unashamed about his criticism of banks keeping their profits when their big bets pay off, and sticking taxpayers with the bill when those bets don’t work out. Will we as a voters allow the banks to kick out a taxpayer champion?

Thanks for this thread on how Doormat Republican Boehner is improving his chances of helping Obama continue to wreck America, by weeding out those who oppose Boehner’s Doormat to Democrats “Leadership.”

” - - - a move made by Speaker of the House John Boehner in reining in his caucus and giving notice to House Republicans who had a tendency to go their own way that he wasn’t playing around.

So, U.S. Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C., found himself no longer on the House Financial Services Committee, along with U.S. Rep. David Schweikert, R-Ariz. And the House Budget Committee no longer had seats for U.S. Reps. Justin Amash, R-Mich., or Tim Huelskamp, R-Kansas. - - - “

These men that opposed Doormat Boehner must be very, Very, VERY intelligent!

_____________________

Last I read, Doormat Republican Boehner was “Hellbent” on ramming through the House Obama’s Amnestry Bill for Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico.

Doormat Boehner knows that Obama can’t get this done without Boehner’s help, as the already passed Democrat Senate Amnesty Bill for Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico will die this Session of Congress unless Boehner comes to the rescue of Democrat Feudal Lord Reid, and Democrat Tyrant Obama.

Boehner also knows that unless Obama’s Opinion Poll ratings go up, Republicans will win in a Landslide, but Boehner will have the unwanted problem of a new class of Patriotic Freshmen House members that are from the dreaded TEA Party.

Hence, Boehner must do all he can to not allow the Democrats to lose by the predicted Landslide margin of defeat in the Mid Term Election of 2014.

Obama knows that the only on-paper accomplishment for him is his convincingly failed Obamacare Socialized Health Insurance Tax, commonly known as OSHIT.

Obama needs the House to pass an Amnesty Bill to demonstrate that he is worthy of a higher poll rating.

Thus, passage of a House Amnesty Bill for the Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico, and their offspring. will help both Boehner and Obama continue on their mutually beneficial, joint venture of “Fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

In the four years that Doormat Boehner has protected Obama from all of the many violations of the US Constitution, the many, Many, MANY Derelictions of Duty and scandals, there has never been as loyal a permissive Speaker to a corrupt Administration than permissive, Doormat Boehner has been to the entire corrupt, tyrannical Obama Administration.

History will not be kind to Doormat Republican Boehner or his supporters in the House Republican Leadership including Cantor, McCarthy, and Ryan.

Always one to boast with a TV speech on how “sad” he is at the illegality of the rogue Obama Administration and Democrat Reid Senate, Doormat Boehner has always shied away from during the honorable thing by choosing to never enforce the US House Laws of the United States of America.

The limit to Doormat Boehner’s tolerance for obvious Federal corruption has yet to be reached.

It is small wonder then that the Republican National Committee and their donors so enthusiastically approve of the “Doormat to Democrats” tactics of Mr. Doormat himself, House Speaker Johnny “The Sobber” Boehner!

Doormat Boehner knows that Obama will reward him for the loyal protection that Boehner has constantly provided for Obama for over four very long years.

Money is NOT something needed by Multimillionaire Boehner, but perhaps Boehner would accept an Obama appointment to be the United States Ambassador to Libya?

Peace, Graewoulf,

Thanks for this thread on how Doormat Republican Boehner is improving his chances of helping Obama continue to wreck America, by weeding out those who oppose Boehner’s Doormat to Democrats “Leadership.”

While some of us work to unseat sell-out RINO sock-puppets, like Todd Young.

Here's the plan:

We go to some poor Asian country and offer free citizenship to say ... 30 million Vietnamese or North Koreans - maybe Chinese... ON THE CONDITION they vote Republican. To sweeten the pot we offer food stamps, welfare, medicare for their parents and a free education for their kids....

In addition we'll try to find some airhead democrat to talk about how coming here is an ‘act of love’ or some such bullsh*t. Do you know of any democrats as stupid as our own Jeb Bush?

Is that a cool solution or what?

We do what dems do... Or course I'm not sure if the New YUCK Times will pretend to be as gullible about our ‘dreamers’ as they are about democrat's ‘dreamers’... but who knows. If they call us on it they'll be showing they knew what was going on with democrats all along... and I don't think they want to admit that... do you?

Same for the Washington Post... and LA Times...

Remember - our hearts bleed for the downtrodden. We are such kindhearted conservatives...
