Fl Congressman Bill Young's widow says she won't support Jolly

The widow of Congressman C.W. Bill Young says she no longer supports the man who campaigned as a “Bill Young Republican” and was elected to her husband’s seat in the House of Representatives.

“No, I won’t support him,” Beverly Young said in an interview with News Channel 8.

It’s quite a switch for Young, who appeared in a Jolly commercial and with him at the rally to announce his candidacy for Congress.

But Young is disappointed and upset that Jolly did not hire more of her husband’s staff to carry on what they started under the 22-term congressman, who died in October.

Jolly’s communications director Preston Rudie emailed a statement to News Channel 8:

“Congressman Jolly has great respect for Mrs. Young and considers her a friend. Congressman Jolly has assembled a team that he believes can best serve the people of Pinellas County and that can continue the level of constituent service that Mr. Young was so rightfully known for. Congressman Jolly did not make any staffing decisions nor speak with staff candidates prior to his election on March 11.”

Young says Jolly lost her support because “he made promises to my husband that he was going to continue to carry on his legacy, and the first thing he did was dumped the people who made his legacy what it is,” she said.

In a two-hour interview, Young described the breakdown of her relationship with Jolly, who she said stayed in the hospital with her while her before her husband died and even helped her pick out his casket. Now, Young says she won’t support or vote for him as he faces a re-election campaign for the fall.

“He’s made a mockery out of my husband’s life and his legacy,” Young said.

Continue his 22 year legacy? Isn’t 11 terms enough ? Why keep the dead guy in office?

Ms Young, Jolly can hire his own staff. Just because he got your endorsement, it doesn’t mean you can tell him to HIRE your husband’s staff. Last time I checked it’s the people’s seat, not the seat of Congressman Young’s staff member.

Oh Crap! Rep. Jolly must not have kissed her A—er ring that's it, her ring properly after he took office.

Translation: She did not get the money she thought she would get. She was not paid what she considered enough.

How to read this: If the Elite republicans dump him, and obviously have, Jolly might not be such a bad guy. Because you can pretty well take it to the bank, she did not decide to do this on her own.

I would be more interested in the opinion of Young's first wife.....the one this Harlot stole him from.

A 'legacy' is based on ideas and beliefs - NOT on hiring a bunch of Mrs. Young's friends. Good for Jolly - government's to 'crony' already - we don't need more of it..

“Because you can pretty well take it to the bank, she did not decide to do this on her own.”

Oh, I’m not so sure about this. She is a loose cannon and certifiably crazy. I don’t think anyone is controlling her message. I mean, she publicly disowned her child because he supported someone else in the special election primary. She’s done a pretty good job of embarrassing herself and tarnishing her husband’s legacy without any help.

Ahh...I believe the proper title is Queen Entitlement. Someone up thread used the term “entrenched”; and that is what some of the professional Pols & staffers desire to be—that and “entitled”.

he got rid of those people? he gained a notch in my book. most of BYoung’s staff couldn’t give a rat’s ass about anything effecting the country. immigration? H-1bs? Benghazi? fast & furious? anything. they just couldn’t care less

don’t get me wrong, i’ve been repeatedly reassured that BYoung had voted. I guess that’s an accomplishment at some level... then again, one of those bobbing birds could be set up to vote party line without costing millions per year in staff, offices, and salaries.

What? I thought she was for Jolly because that what hubby wanted. Did her kids flip her? They were against Jolly and now she is. She did a major flip flop. So much for her husband’s wishes.

Note to Jolly:

Do something. Get together with some stout-hearted fellows and Dump Boehner.

Kick Cantor's ass.

Drop by Bilirakis' office and hold a mirror up to his nose. He may not be alive and perhaps needs to be replaced.

Note to Mrs. Young:

STFU and enjoy Bill's pension and insurance. But mainly, STFU, OK?

How much money does the Widow Young thing Jolly has sitting around? REMEMBER this. The Widow Young got into a heated scrap at a Home Depot once with another customer over a bag of mulch. She’s a little “unusual”. Of course, there’s no smear machine on the republican side to smear the Widow Young. (she’s very flighty and will fight over mulch and it’s Jolly’s campaign, not hers.

See my post. She’s beyond quirky. IMO, there’s bi=polar on her side of the family.
